It was Gauri. She had come with the purpose of inviting Aditya for her birthday bash. She was used to witness Aditya and Paromita's verbal skirmish. But today seeing them laughing and chatting cordially made her a bit restless for the first time. The immaculate chemistry that the duo shared was baffling for her to witness. For some strange reason, she felt as if it was the harbinger of something inevitable and unfavourable for her dear friend,Mouli. She didn't know why but she wasn't getting positive vibes out of this cordial relation that was budding between the two. She decided to enlighten Mouli asap and hence whirled around and strode away.

Prabhat and Pranab were settled on a couch in the colossal living room and were chatting away to their heart's content while Rita, who was sitting on a nearby couch, was preparing coffee for them. However, the trio's attention in their respective activities had been interrupted with a musical laughter. They instantly turned their attention to the entrance to the living room and immediately came to a stockstill witnessing the alien scene that unfurled in front of their very own eyes. Was it reality or had they actually landed into a chimerical land where everything is so immaculate that it becomes quite a task to bring your mind to trust it. This was the very thought that was meandering around in their minds. But offcourse anyone who was aquainted with Aditya – Paromita and their ceaseless diatribe would receive an obvious and major heart attack. Yes, it was none else than Aditya and Paromita who had just sauntered into the posh living room but were still busy in their own world which seemes to be quite detached from the actual world in which they domicile. Apparently Aditya had cracked some jokes and Paromita burst out into rioutous laghter, accompanied by her handsome companion. Their laughter subsided but hadn't dwindled away completely and they were still chuckling when Paromita's gaze fall on the three occupants of the room who had actually been gaping at them. She narrowed her eyes and scrunched her nose in confusion and nudged Aditya, being thoroughly bemused. Aditya turned around to face her and raised his brow quizzically. She gestured her through her eyes to direct his gaze towards the elders. As Aditya turned to look at them, he too found them gaping at them with a flabbergasted expression. Aditya, too, was befuddled as he wondered what exactly petrified them and hence decided to voice his thoughts.
Aditya (clearing his throat to bring the elders back from their entranced state) : "Ehem! Umm…kya hua? Aur aaplog humein aise kyun dekh rahe hain?"
Hearing his voice, Prabhat, Pranab and Rita snapped out of their trance-like state and immediately afterwards burst out into fits of giggle. Both Aditya and Paromita were utterly bemused at this quite unexpected and weird behaviour of the elders. They turned to each other, shrugged and then again turned their gaze back to the elders. By then Rita's chuckles had subsided and she thought of clarifying things as she observed the befuddled expressions adorning the immaculately exquisite faces of both the young girl and the young boy.
Rita replied still smiling : "Eh anhonee ko apne samne hotey dekh hum bas hairan ho gaye the."
Paromita raised her brows quizzically n asked : "Anhonee? Kaisi anhonee masi?"
Instead of Rita, it was Prabhat who replied while chuckling : "Do jaani dushman has has kar ek dusre se doston ke tarah baat kar rahe hain toh isse bari anhonee aur ho bhi kya sakti hain."
Both glowered agitatedly at Prabhat and toghether yelled:
"Dad!"
"Kaka!"
However, it only aided in gearing up their laughter. It was Paromita then who thought of clarifying things and shaking her head at the childish behaviour of the elder, spoke out : "Please guys! Aap log abhi overreact karna bandh karo. Itni bhi anhonee nehi hain yeh. Aur hum doston ki tarah isliye baat kar rahe the kyunki…"
Now Aditya interrupted her and continued : "Kyunki ab hum dono dost hain."
However, it was another bolt out of the blue for them and effectively put a culmination to their apparently ceaseless chuckles. For a moment they just kept staring at them in complete silence and just when Aditya and Paromita began wondering if they had committed some sin by becoming cordial towards each other and revealing it infront of their family, that Prabhat, Pranab and Rita squealed toghether : "Kya??? Sach???"
Aditya and Paromita toghether nodded in bemusement.
Rita instantly got up from the couch and striding towards them, she engulfed both into a warm, affectionate embrace. Aditya and Paromita looked at each other over her shoulders and asked each other through eyes if the other had any clue about what was going on but since both were totally clueless they shrugged at each other with an I – Don't – know – What's – Going – on kind of expression adorning their exquisite features.
Breaking apart, Rita stared at the duo with an affectionate smile playing on her lips. She cupped one side of both Aditya and Paromita's faces with each hand and spoke out in a happy tone : "Thank God! Finally tum dono ki mahabharat khatam ho hi gayi. Mujhe bahut khushi hain ki tum dono dost ban gaye ho. Dekhna tum dono ek dusre mein tum dono ko saccha dost milega. Mujhe aisa lag raha hain ki yeh dosti umarbhar ki hain."
Aditya n Paromita sighed in relief n grinned. However at that precise moment Paromita recalled the purpose for their arrival n smacked her forehead.
Paromita :"Dhatteriki! In sab mein main toh bhool hi gayi ki Aparna kaki ne humein yahan Durga pooja ki taiyariyo ka list aapko dikhane ke liye bheja hain. Aap dekh lijiye sab thik hain ya nehi. Aur unhone kuch mangvaya bhi hain."
Saying this she forwarded the list to Rita who took it n unfolded it. Soon she became engrossed in it n after going through it, she looked up at them n smiled.
Rita :"Thik hain. Main pooja ka saman bhijwa dungi baudi ko. Lekin tum dono abhi kahin nehi jaa rahe ho. Jao fresh hokar aao dono. Maine kheer banaya hain. Jaldi se aa jao dining hall mein. Pari beta Adi ko apne room mein le jao."
Paromita smiled n nodded n turned to Aditya.
Paromita :"Chalein?"
Aditya :"Chaliye."
Both giggled at Aditya's tone of mock servitude. Both made their way towards Paromita's room, laughing n pulling each other's legs. Seeing them so enraptured in each other's company the elder trio was really ecstatic n finally sighed in relief. Atleast now, hopefully, they would not have to witness the duo's ceaseless diatribe.

Mouli was about to step inside the threshold of her home when she felt someone's hand on her shoulder. She whirled around only to find Gauri standing there. As soon as her gaze fall on Gauri, Mouli's lips split into a soft smile of recognition.
Mouli :"Arey Gauri tu yahan? Kab aayi?"
Gauri forced a reluctant smile n replied :"Bas thori der pehle. Uh...mujhe tujhse kuch jaruri baat karni hain. Mere saath chal."
Saying this she grabbed Mouli's arm and almost dragged her along. Mouli was flabbergasted at this sudden turn of events. Gauri took a befuddled Mouli to the backyard. As soon as Gauri let go of her arm, Mouli whirled around to face her.
Mouli : "Gauri tujhe ho kya gaya hain? Mujhe yaha kyun le aayi? kya baat hain aakhir?"
Gauri scanned the surrounding to verify whether they were actually alone and then again turned to face a befuddled Mouli.
Gauri : "Baat bahut jaruri hain."
Mouli : "Pehliyan mat bujha yaar. Seedhe seedhe bol baat akhir hain kya."
Gauri debilitated for a moment and then finally blurted out : "Tujhe pata hain Adi aur Paromita ab dost ban gaye hain."
Mouli was genuinely happy hearing this welcoming news and chirped happily : "Sach! Thank God! Finally yeh dono dost ban gaye. Ab hum sabko in ka roz ka dushmani ka silsila nehi dekhna hoga. Main kab se yehi chahti thi."
Gauri : "Isme itni khush hone wali koi baat nehi hain mou. Pata nehi kyun par mujhe in dono ki dosti se positive vibes nehi aatey. Pata nehi kyun par aisa lag raha tha jaise yeh rishta sirf dosti ka nehi hain balki usse bhi kuch jyada hain."
Mouli smacked her forehead with her palm and retorted back : "Hey bhagwan! Isliye main tujhe kehti rehti hu itna romantic thrillers mat para kar aur daily soaps toh dekh hi mat. Tera dimag bhi daily soaps ke cvs ke tarah banta jaa raha hain. Tu ne Adi aur Pari ki dosti ko kaha se kaha tak pahucha diya. Yeh sab teri ajeeb se dimag ki upaj hain aur kuch nehi. Wo dono sirf dost hain yaar."
Gauri shook her head in denial : "nehi Mou yeh sirf dosti nehi hain. I have seen sparks flying between them. Tujhe ab yakeen nehi hoga. Jab tu khud dekhegi, tab pata chalega tujhe."
Mouli : "What nonsense! Aisa kuch nehi hain. Chal ab bekaar mein mera sar mat kha aur chal andar chaltey hain."
Gauri : "Nehi baad mein aaungi. Main apne birthday ka invitation dene aayi thi. Party mein tum sabko jaldi aana hain okay. Chal nikalti hu, mujhe sabko invite bhi karna hain. (She turned away to leave the place but thinkng something, again turned back to Mouli) Par maine jo kaha wo dhyan rakhna Mouli. Thande dimaag se sochna."
Saying this she strode away leaving a perplexed mouli behind. For a moment she appeared to be lost in thoughts as she pondered over Gauri's words but soon enough he discarded all such weird thoughts.
Mouli : "Yeh Gauri bhi na kuch bhi ulta seedha sochti rehti hain."
She shook her head and made her way towards the mansion.

Aditya and Paromita were absolutely engrossed in a conversation regarding the designer ethnic attires as they sauntered along the corridor when abruptly Aditya came to a halt as he recalled something.
Aditya :"Damn!"
Paromita also halted on her tracks n was bemused as she was clueless about what happened to Aditya all of a sudden. She turned to face Aditya.
Paromita :"Kya hua Adi?"
Aditya replied innocently :"wo Pari main apna mobile wahan living room mein hi bhool aaya."
Paromita couldnt refrain from giggling on hearing his candid n innocent confession. Aditya narrowed his eyes as he saw her giggling like crazy.
Aditya :"oye! Maine aisa kaunsa joke mara jo tum has rahi ho aise pagalo ki tarah."
This retort geared up her laughter even more. However, nonetheless, she managed to retort back amidst her ceaseless giggles.
Paromita :"Haan toh hasi toh aayegi hi na ab agar tum aise baat kahoge toh. Tum aise keh rahe ho jaise local train ke compartment mein chor aaye ho apna mobile. Chill ok! Living room mein hi toh hain. Jaatey waqt le lena. Waise pata hain tum kaise sound kar rahe the? Jaise kisi baby ne apna favourite toy kho diya ho. Awe! Such a cute n naive baby."
Saying this she pulled his cheek lightly n chuckled at the adorable expression on his handsome features as he pouted.
Aditya frowned n snapped while rubbing his cheek lightly :"Ha ha! Not funny at all. Tum na poori baat kabhi sunti hi nehi ho yaar. Aadhi baat sun kar hi beech mein bol parti ho."
However, Paromita was in the mood to agitate him n hence she continued amidst her giggles :"Awe baby ko gussa aa gya kya? Okay baby toh tum hi bata do na."
Aditya frowned n snapped :"Pari yaar irritate mat karo na. Aur mujhe baby mat kaho okay!"
Paromita chuckled as he made cute faces which, unknown to himself, make him look even more adorable. However Paromita was apparantly determined to tease Aditya to her heart's content n was in no mood to stop.
Paromita :"Okay baby main tumhein baby nehi bulaungi baby."
And yet again she burst into fits of giggle seeing the murderous glare in his eyes. Aditya opened his mouth for a swift retort but immediately gulped back the retort as a more effective evil idea of retribution crosses his mind n his lips curved into an iniquitous smile. Paromita, on the other hand, was befuddled to see his evil smirk n almost instantly she sensed something fishy. She narrowed her eyes in suspicion which immdiately widened in horror as she heard him out.
Aditya smirked : "Tumhein pata hain Pari koi larki apne humumra kisi larke ko baby kab kehti hain. Simple. Jab wo uski bf ho tab. U know na all those lovey dovey stuffs. Ab jab baby kehkar tumne mujhe apna bf bana hi dala hain toh let's c how it works out. What say baby!"
Saying this he winked at her and then grabbed her wrist and jerked her towards himself, shocking her to the core. She just couldn't believe her eyes as she didn't even imagine in her wildest dream that there can even be such a dauntless n mischievous version of Aditya as this. Her eyes widened even more as he pulled her closer to himself with his grip intact on her wrist while his other hand snaking around her petite waist. She ended up with her hands landing on his broad shoulders. Though he acted on an impulse and with the obvious intention to agitate her and to punish her for teasing him but as soon as he stared back right into her jet black eyes, he felt himself drifting away to some remote, chimerical land. He himself was not aware of the reason as to why he always ended up drowning in her beautiful eyes. Apparently with each passing moment, her eyes were turning out to be his greatest weakness. He momentarily became oblivious of not only his surroundings but also the original motive of his impulsive action. Paromita,on the other hand, was flabbergasted at his sudden act. She was too stunned n befuddled to notice the intensity of his gaze n the lost look in his eyes. She gaped at him in bemusement n blinked once or twice. However though her mind screamed at her to push him away yet she couldnt. She didnt even try to wriggle out of his grip. She stared back into his intense black eyes n that was her biggest mistake. Soon enough she too lost herself in the immense depth of those dark black eyes. Owing to the slow breeze that broke into the place through the nearby window, Paromita's sleek black hair was flowing to n fro making strands of her hair touching her as well as Aditya's face. She was oblivious of the new sensation that the mere touch of the locks of her hair was sending down his spine.completely under her spell, he didnt know when he tightened his hold around her waist n pulled even closer if that was even possible. They were so close to each other that they could feel each others erratic heartbeat n their breath were fanning each others face. They were totally lost in each other when due to the sudden pull Paromita's hairband fall off letting loose the sleek black hair n landed right beside Aditya's foot. The next moment he pulled back, chuckling while she blinked in bemusement.
