I think the scene in the OR was, that Der tried to grab what just happened. To me he looks quite shocked. Or kinda like trying to hold the panic in and not start screaming around. Der knows exactly how it feels like when Mer is near death and I think he has to fight to not let these feelings come to the survice. At least as long as he doesn't know what really happened.

honestly, think Patrick didn't get those scenes either and that's why he acted in a way we can't feel. Just think about those scenes for a second. Der just learned that he might have lost Zola forever, his wife is completely on edge cuz of it and blames herself. And then comes your best friend and offers you to share his little bas***d. Hello??? If I was Der I wld have yelled at Mark or wldn't have been able to say anything at all.
