Chapter 20

police force came in the spot they were completing the formailities and gulaal was sitting quietly in her jeep…her team member told her saddam was killed by the gangster…

Then dushyant came and give her cup of coffee

And asked haan "gulaal bataya nahi yeh sab kaise hua"

Gulaal looked down and thought for a moment she didn't wanted kesar to be dragged into this situation besides she had lied in her department

So she made an excuse "sir yeh trap tha kaali k saathi yanha beithe the mujhse badla lena tha woo drug dealing aur south delhi mein hue encounter ka….meine unhe self defence mein shoot kar diya"

Dushyant said proudly "well done gulaal sach mein bahoot bahadur ho….tumne ek gangster ko itni asaani se maar diya aaj tumhare papa tum par bahoot garv karenge"

Gulaal squeezed the smile

Here kesar reached his residence…he was restless..he said "gulaal ko inta samjhaya par woo samajh nahi rahi agar durgesh ko pata chal gaya to…kya hoga…bahoot daar lag raha hai"

Kunal came and saw him and hugged him and said "kanha tha tu pata hai jaan nikal gayi thi meri…..tujhe sahi salamat dekh kar kitni khushi ho rahi hai"

Kesar was in his thought he mumbled "g..gulaal"

Kunal looked at him and raised his eyebrows "gulaal..uska kya

dekh kesar bahoot ho gaya..ab apna yeh paagalpan band kar aur bhool jaa usko samjha"

kesar turned his face with the tensed eyebrows he was extremely scared at this moment

gulaal was sitting in her room

she said "damm itni mushkil mein pakkad mein aaya tha phir haath se nikal gaya aur ab to saddam bhai bhi nahi hai ab kanha se shuru karu"

she continued "ab tak to kesar ne woo diamond bhi thikaane laga diya hoga kya karu mein"

and she saw a strange number flashed on her cell

she picked up the cell and said "hello"

kesar replied with the deep concern in his voice "gulaal tum theek to ho na"

gulaal was amused to hear him…"tum theek ho na" escaped sweetly from her mouth completely forgetting the fact that in the morning she had shot warning shot at him…and they had a brief encounter

kesar replied "haan gulaal mein theek hun"

gulaal pursued her lips and he was quiet

Gulaal and kesar didn't speak just felt the silence between them..if ever they could speak the language that could explain their feeling for each other

They were present on the either side of the system yet their passion for each other was growing with every passing moment

Kesar put his finger on his forehead and struggled to speak but his voice was chocked in his throat

Compelling himself to speak he said "gulaal…plz apna dhyaan rakhna..agar tumhe kuch…to mein…."

And kunal came and took his cell and ended it

Kesar said in frustration "kunal yeh kya kar raha hai tu"

Kunal said "thek kar raha hun mein…tujhe kya ho gaya hai kesar tu janata hai aaj hum marte marte bache hai gulaal k wajah se…usne tujh par goli chalayi phir bhi tu usese baat kar kar raha hai"

Paagal ho gaya hai kya aaj humare upar talwar latak rahi hai sif teri wajah se….manaa kiya tha naa meine gulaal se jyada pehchaan mat badha nahi manna ab dekh kya nateeza nikala hai

Dekh ab is durgesh k mamle se apne aap ko door rakh aur aaj k baad usese milne k koi jarurat nahi hai"

Kesar looked at him and left the place in anger….

Gulaal ended the call

She came out and sat on the balcony with her angry bird cushion toy she said "meine tum par goli chalayi phir bhi tumhe meri parvah hai…tumhari bechaani mehsoos ki thi meine"

"Mujhe to laga aaj Jo kuch bhi hua uske baad tum mujhse kabhi baat nahi karoge " and her eyes were moist thinking about him, thinking the moment he wont talk to her

Dushyant came in the balcony and said "waah gulaal yankeen nahi hota joo ladki kal tak ek chote se encounter se darr rahi thi aaj inta bade gangster ko maar girayegi pata hai sab kitna praise kar rahe hai tumhe"

Gulaal said "sir aapne hi kaha than a kabhi kabhi apno k liye jaan leni padeti hai….samajh lijeye aaj mein apni jaan k liye jaan le li" She said without the trace of guilt in her

Dushyant said "acha laga yeh confidence dekh kar"

Then he looked at the angry bird cushion and said "yeh kya gulaal kitna ajeeb hai"

Gulaal said sir angry bird cushion toy hai….

Dushyant said "par yeh ajeeb sa lag raha hai ek ladki k room mein khubsoorat cheese honi chahiye…lao ise mein hata deta hun"

Gulaal stopped him and said "sir mujhe yeh pasand hai aur phir jaruri to nahi ki logo ko sirf khubsoorati pasand ho kabhi kabhi kaate phool se jyada ache lagte hai…."looking at her cactus plant

Dushyant smiled and said jaise tumhe theek lage

After two days durgesh returned from dubai and the dead body of his brother was handed over to him

Durgesh looked at his brother's body his eyes were fixed and dark, flashing with anger, his body flamed with an intensity of hate

He turned towards his gangmember and asked "yeh sab kaise hua"

One of the gangmember replied bhai kaali ko encounter aur drug dealing

Ka badla gulaal se lena tha abhi haal hi mein woo kesar k peeche padi thi…bhai ko laga donno ko ek jagah bula kar maarne ka plan banaya tha…

Durgesh said to kya akele gulaal ne un sabko maar diya

Gangmember said "bhai hume nahi pata saare saathi mare gaye aur joo bacha hai woo behad jakhmi hai uuse hosh hi nahi aaya hai"

He stared his brother's body deep and said gulaal mere bhai ko maarne k keemat tumhe apni jaan dekar chukani padegi"…his eyes shone with stong urge to take revenge

Five days later gulaal was sitting in her jeep and she received a call she came out of her jeep and said "kesar roz mujhe phone karke kyu puch rahe ho ki mein sahi hun yaa nahi…bola naa ekdum thek hun"

Kesar replied gulaal mujhe tumhare fikr ho rahi hai isliye puch raha hun

Gulaal said "khair tum apni manao ok"

Kesar said "gulaal mein pareshaan karna nahi chahta par chah kar bhi tumahari fikr karna nahi chod sakta"

gulaal said dimaag kharab mat karo mera ok aur mujhe kuch nahi hua hai

kesar said gulaal plz understand and he heard a explosion….

It was the bomblast……kesar said hello gulaal

But no one replied

Kesar was stonefaced for the moment the tears and sweat came roll down from cheeks he was lifeless………

Kunal looked at him and said kya hua kesar

Kesar couldn't react he was not able to speak

Kunal was perplexed

And they got the news from the news channel "abhi abhi south delhi k mall k pass ek cid k jeep mein explosion hua hai isme beithi officer Gulaal Melhotra baal baal bachi hai hadse mein koi bhi nuksaan nahi pahuncha hai…police spot par pahunch kar enquiry kar rahi hai"

And kesar took a deep breath to hear that gulaal was safe he was back to life…he thought for a second and left the place in anger

He quickly reached durgesh house…dusrgesh was performing shradh of his brother kesar looked at him and grabbed durgesh with neck….He looked at him in anger

The other member tried to stopped him

But durgesh stopped them….durgesh thought kesar was angry becoz he was trapped by his bother

He said "dekh kesar mujhe pata hai tu naaraz hai…par meine kaali ko manaa kiya tha…manta hun kaali ne sahi nahi kiya… tere liye musibat khadi kar di saddam bhi maara gaya par us encounter mein mera bhai maara gaya"

Agar mera bhai nahi hota to tu uski jagah hota yeh sab gulaal k wajah se isliye ladna chod aur haath mila le

Us gulaal ka kissa khatam kar dete hai"

Kesar looked at him in the deep anger and said "tera bhai mara hai durgesh isliye chod raha hun…aage aise baat kahi tu chupne k liye zameen kam pad jaayegi"

And he left the place in anger

Durgesh looked at him and said "koi baat nahi tu nahi bhi ho to bhi gulaal ko to marna hai hi"

Durgesh member said ise kyu nahi maar dete

Durgesh "aapas mein jhagda ka samay nahi hai…yeh kaali k wajah se naaraz hai kaali ne ise phasaya hai kuch din mein shaant ho jayega …abhi iske bare mein nahi sochana…. gulaal ko thikane lagane k socho"

Gulaal was sitting in her office and her door opened with force she saw kesar was standing restless and vulnerable..he didn't seemed to be breathing

Gulaal was shocked to see him in her office most importantly seeing him in this condition

She asked kesar tum yanha…yanha kya kar rahe ho"

Kesar took a deep breath to see her talking….he started walking towards her and she was so nervous that started taking the steps back he continued to move forward…..soon she hit he wall and he stopped close to her

She looked at him….his eyes were shivering in fear "Are u ok" he managed to say….his voice emerging as hoarse croak

Gulaal looked at him and said "haan theek hun par tum aise"

Kesar said "kya karta mein…woo bomb blast sun kar..mein…kitna ghabra gaya tha…tumhe nahi dekhta to pata nhai kya kar jaata" the tears rolled from beneath his eyelids….his voice was like his nerves in tatters

Gulaal was overwhelmed to hear it

She looked deep into his eyes and said "kuch nahi hua hai"

Kesar said "gulaal kuch din k liye yanha se chali jao"

Gulaal raised her eyesbrows and said "yeh kya bakwaas hai"

Kesar said "gulaal plz meri baat samajhne k koshish karo tumhare jaan khatre mein hai……durgesh tumse apni bhai ka badla lena chahta hai yeh sab usne karwaya hai"

Gulaal replied in raised voice "aise gunde se mein nahi darti I don't care

Kesar said sternly "par mujhe parvah hai gulaal….woo bahoot khatarnaak log hai gulaal uske gunde tumhare peeche lage hue hai kuch bhi ho sakta hai"

Gulaal replied "mein apni care karna achi se jaanti hun

Kesar grabbed her wrist in frustration "har waqt zid achi nahi hai gulaal tumhe pata kya in logo k bare mein jaakar dekho apne files kitne police officer ko unhone yunhi sadak chalte maar diya hai…" and his voiced shranked in fear

Kesar said in raised voice gulaal kya ek baat meri nahi maan sakti

Gulaal yelled back nahi maanani aur kyu manu mein aur tumhe kya farq padta hai

Kesr grabbed her and said "farq padta hai gulaal tumhari baatein se tumahari zindagi se….tumhari har baat se farq padta hai"

Gulaal replied "kyu farq padta hai"

Kesar grabbed her arm and said "farq padta hai kyuki mein tumhari parvah karta hun farq padta hai kyunki har pal tumhare bare mein sochta hun farq padta hai kyunki"

and he was restless

Gulaal was fuming in anger she stood close to kesar and asked "kyunki kyaa…kya kesar"

Kesar replied "kyunki mein tumse" and he looked into her eyes….that was looking at him with her increased breath… …. ….for a moment there was a silence between them as they stood looking at each other and she realized with him she split between her conviction and her action….

she moved forward now her emotions were changed she was bedazzled exited and spellbounded…..in an unsteady and soft voice gulaal asked "kyunki kya??

Coming to the chappie- it was superbly written. Kesar still worried abt him though he just escaped death himself- plz iss Kesar ko mujhe de do😳 ! I completely understand Kunal's behaviour though he is aganist GK because that's wat I wud hav done if I was Kesar's friend- so, really can't fault him. And Dushyant trying to take the angry bird cushion out 😡- aarey agar khubsurat cheezen hi ladki k ghar mein rehne chahiye toh pehle aapko bahar jaana chahiye😡! Moving on to the GK phone conversation, the way Kesar struggled to speak reminded me of the phone conversation in the show- Gulaal asking him automatically how he was- was abit funny😆...Loved the convo, Kesar is so scared and worried for Gulaal...he keeps her calling up to check on her.

Phewww...Gulaal escaped the explosion. Kesar in his angry avatar goes to directly tackle Durgesh- loved how the scene played out with Durgesh doing the shraddh- arey bodyguard ki yaad aa gayi yaar! Loved Kesar's dialogue-

Kesar just cannot control himself frm checking on Gulaal and making her aware of the large danger that looms...The scene played out so well- but main point per end kar diya tune. Awaiting the next chappie😍

Kesar n kunal convo is very interesting...looks like this will create a lot of issues between them...

Loved there push-pull n the silence which speaks so loud at their passion...

Dushy n gulaal convo...special mention to gulaal words saying she did what she did for her life...indeed he is her life...n also when she says that phool se zyaada khaate achche lagthe hai...

the scene between them their hate-love relationship is so well written...n his restlessness to see her safe and her desperation to listen his confession...
