GEC ratings: Star Plus surges ahead to maintain hold at the top

Sony retains second spot, while third placed Colors lose points

Star Plus retains its top position in the TAM ratings released for Week 43 with 317 GRPs, an increase from 292 GRPs registered last week, and the channel commanded a share of 24.8% among Hindi GECs. Sony Entertainment TV notched up a GRP point to register 258 GRPs over its previous week's 257 GRPs. Colors slipped 10 points to register 208 GRPs. This week, Zee TV gained from 139 GRPs to 155 GRPs.

Star Plus' 'Saathiya Saath Nibhana' aired on 18 October from 7 pm to 7.30 pm was the most viewed program of the week with a 6.50 TVR. Colors' 'Balika Vadhu' aired on 19 October from 8 pm to 8.30 pm came second with a 4.84 TVR. Sony Entertainment TV's 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' from 8.30 pm to 10 pm and 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain' from 10.30 pm aired on 19 October came third and fourth respectively.

SAB slipped from 123 GRPs to 121 GRPs, while Imagine gained from 64 GRPs to 69 GRPs. DD1 gained from 27 GRPs to 52 GRPs, Star One slipped from 35 GRPs to 34 GRPs. Sahara One and Star Utsav gained one point each to register 31 GRPs and 25 GRPs. Zee Smile was at 3 GRPs.
