Yeah it was dubbed but thankfully in her own voice...she did sing beautifully! I think these kind of soulful songs suit her best...she sings them wonderfully! And yeah she looked very pretty and sweet :-)

Nur, Thanks for the exact links and the time indications. That was a beautiful melody! She sang it so beautifully! She has a soothing voice for which soulful melodies suit better. She does sing rock/pop type songs also really well. Really admire her attitude while singing such songs. But melodies sound heavenly in her voice or...rather... I connect more with melodies...always...

Yes, that part where she shares same frame with her India-calling co-star was interesting! His name is Vipul. Had enough time today thanks to Diwali holidays, that I was googling on Manasi's previous shows and came across some interesting articles on her. Read this guy's name in those articles.

Gayathri, you're most welcome! Oh so the guy's name was Vipul...haan he's in some Zee show now.

I love the true enjoyment and sense of sur you can see in Manasi whenever she's singing...like she's feeling each note and singing :-)

*Edit: Found another vid of Manasi from that Chitralekha interview...this is her singing Iktara...I love this rendition more than the one she sang on SYR...

I think loud instrumentation puts pressure on her to shout more...I love this version without any instruments...it's just her voice...pure, melodious, beautiful.

Wow...you can close the eyes and get lost in that melodious lilt. How beautiful does it sound! I remember reading in one of those articles that her music room is her holy shrine and that she gets her well-being from music. And that shows in the way she sings...bilkul man se. Thanks a lot for the video, Nur. Agree on your point. I've seen singers closing one of their ears while singing live on stage. The defeaning music from the instruments can be one of the reasons why singers lose control on their notes sometimes. Yes, Mansi takes high pitch to complement the loud instrumentation. But considering how difficult it is to perform live on stage, her rendition in SYR is really commendable but this vesrion sans orchestra is more beautiful and soulful!

SPIRITUAL QUOTIENT
Listening to music is my form of worship

... says television actress,Manasi Parekh, who is not afraid of failures

I believe in the universe that doesnt have a beginning or an end.If that can be called God,then so be it.I definitely believe there is a strong reason why we are here. There are so many things that are hidden and just because we cannot see them doesnt mean they dont exist.I believe strongly in the power of chanting and reciting shlokas. Its a proven fact that chanting is good for a peaceful mind.I chant the Hanuman Chalisa daily because it makes me feel good and healthy.I dont visit holy shrines as such but Im looking forward to visit the Ajmer Sharif dargah,Mecca and Madina.I consider myself a spiritual person. My holy shrine is my music room because I get all my stability and well being from music.Whenever I am not shooting or have a spare minute,Im always listening to music.Listening to music is my form of worship.

I dont seek blessings because I believe I already am very blessed.I have proof of my blessings in front of my eyes a loving family,a caring husband and a great job.I love acting as it not only brings in money but more importantly it gives me creative satisfaction.I ask God to give me failure, problems, and any obstacles He wishes to give me in life but with them give me the strength to fight through!

I am not superstitious at all and dont believe in luck either.I strongly believe that we create our own luck.I believe in Karma.I really believe in the power of hard work and good nature these two things go a long way.

I practice Reiki for 15 minutes every night before I go to sleep.Reiki is the activation of all our chakras.I activate my heart chakra and my third eye chakra before I am off to sleep.Shooting from morning till night is often stressful,so when I go home,I want to forget all that and come back to a normal life.Reiki gives me peace of mind!

I always keep a diary and I always believe in writing down what is in ones mind. When you look back and read w h a t y o u have written,it really shows you what was in your mind at that particular time.Introspection is very important as it shows you who you are and where you are going in life.Id like to advise people to never be afraid to make mistakes and never be afraid of failure. And most importantly always give more love than is expected !
