Maan was working on his laptop when Adi knocked and came in.
"Adi, give me the latest update on the Noida project."
"Sir, the site office called to let us know that Geet has sorted the problem at the site and Sasha has finalized the design in consultation with the client. Tasha is looking after the logistics. And Sir, Sameera Maam is waiting outside." Adi said this in one breath without halting.
"Jao, jaake Sameera ko bulao. And bring her personnel file also."
"He,he,he (his characteristic laugh) ji, sir."
Adi turned to leave and fumbled which made Maan seethe inside as he hated carelessness but as Adi was a good worker he could do nothing except giving Adi a look which made Adi fear him more.
Maan in his most rude and arrogant voice "Adi, suno, tumhe jane ki zaroorat nahi hai, phone kar lo."
Adi tries to reach the phone kept on Maan's table and again fumbles which irritate Maan more, but he gives the phone to Adi.
"Pinky, please Sameera Maam ko andar bhej do aur unki personnel file bhi andar dedo." Adi phoned Pinky.
"Hello MK." Sameera greeted Maan while Adi pulled out a chair for her to sit.
"How are you finding, working here? I hope staff has been helpful to you."
"The staff has been very helpful and the work looks interesting."
"Feel free to approach me with any questions." Maan told her while trying to find something on his desk.
Seeing Maan searching to find something, Adi asked -"Sir, what are you trying to find? If you are looking for Mr. Chopra's file, our new client, then it is on my desk as I have started working on it since this morning though I am not done with it yet."
"Ok, you can work on it today, and Sameera, please go through it so that we can discuss about it tomorrow. And Adi, please tell my secretary to schedule a meeting for us for tomorrow at 10 AM." Maan said this while gazing at his monitor.
Seeing Maan so engrossed in his work, Sameera tried getting his attention by flicking her hair,
by clincking the bracelets that she was wearing and distract him but to no avail and finally she tried to start a conversation a but Maan did not pay any attention to her ,completely ignoring her which angered her a lot, "Ok, I will, see you later MK." Sameera said rudely while leaving his cabin very upset.
She had started working in Khurana Constructions recently. She was the daughter of Khuranas family friend Sailesh Malhotra. The Malhotras were into textile industry but because Sameera wanted to be close to Maan she had insisted on working with him. Though Maan was a little skeptical about employing her, she had qualifications his company could use.
