Continuing with the wedding sequence from Bal Kand, this pic update depicts Sita, Mandavi, Urmila, and Shrutakirti's vidaai at Mithila as they take leave of their parents and close friends.

The background song is really heartbreaking🥺 and the expressions on Deepika and Mulraj Rajda's faces really make us tear up.😭

Dashrath's entourage reaches Ayodhya and the three Rajmatas welcome their sons and daughters-in-laq with exhilaration.🥳 After the salutation to Surya Bhagwaan is done, the three mothers take their daughters-in-laq to the inner quarters and have them participate in a few post-wedding rituals that are meant to loosen them up and make them feel more at home. While Ram and Sita start off the ceremonies due to being the eldest couple, Bharat and Lakshman cheer them on from the sidelines...their banter is so cute, especially Bharat's.😆

Ram and Sita's first night, where he tells her that his first gift to her will not be of pearls and stones, but a vow. That vow is that he will never marry another woman in his life and she will be his only wife.❤️ Lols, I just realized the last part sort of rhymed.😆

Afterwards, Dashrath tells Kaushalya that he can't stop thinking about Maharaj Janak's tears during the Vidaai, and how he was so worried about the welfare of his daughters. Kaushalya tells him that he thinks only of Janak, but she is thinking about how Maharani Sunaina's feelings. Dashrath says that only a woman can understand another woman's heart, so he is going to assign the task of making their four new daughters-in-law feel loved and comfortable at Ayodhya to her. Kaushalya smilingly promises him that in due time, they will forget all about Mithila.

This ends the Bal Kand chapter of Ramayan, as well as the wedding sequence.

|| Anand Sagar's Ramayan ||

Here's a pic update of one of my favorite 'Sita serving' scenes from ASR. I thought someone had posted these pics already after tinypic ate the previous ones, but no one did so I am instead...this scene comes during Episode #65, when Ram, Lakshman, and Sita are crossing the forests and Sita sees a river nearby. She stops Ram and tells him that he must be tired from walking so much, so why don't he and Lakshman rest a bit before continuing? After Ram takes a seat near the river, Sita sits by his feet and begins washing them devotedly, feeling pain in her heart that such tender feet had to undergo so much difficulties by being pricked by thorns and walking barefoot on the forest ground. Ram in turn feels overwhelmed by the love of Sita, especially when she dries his feet with her long tresses.

This is a really beautiful scene...the setting of the river is so soothing and serene, just like a page out of a picturesque nature calendar😍, and the eyelocks Ram and Sita exchange are filled with true love and devotion.👏
