I agree as much as it bothers us to see that women are exploited in this show it is the truth. I know a devyani in reality too. Her husband keeps cheating on her and was abusive to the kids but now they are older and hate their father but still the lady stayed with him and tries to ignore everything. so things like this do happen in real life. And there are so many man and women who marry opposite sex but then find out they are gay and get divorce. And there are still parents who tell their daughters to make the marriage work whether he is cheating abusive or gay. And there are women who ruin their sister and relatives and other people's life. Also many abused women like priya keep qute. Things like this always happen in reality. And I think they needed to develop a base before they could start showing women standing up for themselves. Like vidya might break her maryada by falling in love with cheenu and divorcing gaurav.

Believe me or not. it its the hard reality of life. Many women have gone thorugh this. Still there are familys who act perfect outsode but inside dark secret and so muc pain. These kind of men treat woman like servant and do not pay respect at all. God should punish these kind of men.,

I think Maryada is doing a great job at showing what many women face during their lives. They show the situations of those women and how they handle it. Right or wrong but may help those that are actually in these situations. I really am amazed at how they present all this.

respecting your point of veiw i would like to pen down some facts.. i m also a silent reader and fan of this show. There are lots of things being showed in routine daily soaps with un-realistic approach including from switching of brides to vamps and female leads taking their so called ego fights to extremes , telling lies, roaming jungles alone, commanding over man of house, pregnancy and so called hot scenes b/w the leading couples, dirty plots blah blah are they good to shown and can u easily watch all this stuff on tv with ur family ..lil kids and all. Is that all right dear? if Yes so i must appreciate the poducers and Cvs of this serial from bringing up a strong plot with realistic approach on small screen hich is very much near to the realisties of life and will actually teaching a lesson and spreading the message in a well presented way.

👏👏👏...Totaly agree with your post, I have heard about a guy who married a girl then after her marriage she found he is gay and only married her so it would stay a seceret.
There are also girls like priya who after being abused keep quite...its reality, and maryada shows exactly that,there is no unrealstic thing shown...and it focuses on all characters not just one or two.

Hats off to the makers of the show for having guts to show this and to the actors who are doing a fab job potraying it.

firstly it been titled MARYAADA ... lekin kab tak ? so they r showin tht only . 2ndly if u dont like it dont see it its nt fr the close minded people . the serial isnt showing nything which isnt dere in indian society , all dis exists but behind doors , they r jus showing d truth on TV

You know there are many closeted Indian married men and hats off to the writers for showing the tragedy of the situation, especially for the wife. . .There's nothing disgusting, but it is an eye-opener that when families don't accept that their child is gay, they are ruining someone else's life.
