I do not agree for a minute that manav's character was somehow made weak/ butchered for propping up Archana. Every character in this saga has shown different shades ( both strengths and weaknesses) at different times and why should Archana or her fans be blamed for the portrayal of Manav. They do not write his character!
Archana is crying for her mother, for God's sake. When it comes to our parents, especially when they are in trouble, do we really sit and analyse whether they were good or bad as persons?
Archana was initially shown to be under her mother's shadow totally and eventually came out of it when she took a stand for Manav at different times. As ringside viewers, we are entitled to find fault with Sulochana's thoughts but can Archana have an objective view? Even till now both Archana and Manav tolerate indulgently Damodar's drinking habits or Savita's current antics because beyond a certain point perhaps one cannot do anything! This is true in reality also.
I also fail to see how Archana is neglecting her Sasural for her maika. When was this shown? Because Vandita came to look after Damodar in the hospital?
I will not talk of Archana's role in Soham's case again as it has been discussed so many times. As a mother of a colic baby who used to cry harshly and continuously at any time, I can re-live the feeling of inadequacy as a mother which I used to feel during those times! The innumerable times I wept along with her out of sheer helplessness and frustration ! Does not mean that I loved her less or wanted to give her away.
Please let me make it clear, I do not want to start a battle here. I only want to state that the same writers who are writing manav's case are writing Archana's. So why blame her or her fans for everything in PR which is not liked? If Manav has been criticized by some, so has Archana by others in the harshest terms. But that is Ok.
First and foremost ...You have misunderstood My whole Post and objective .
The objective was NOT blaming Archu fans . The objective was COMING TOGETHER by keeping differences aside and asking for all what we want as a common goal ...Seeing ARMAN with their child and NOT being in POVERTY again . We truly have had ENOUGH of THAT .
Let us not even GO INTO the issue of whether Manav WAS butchered for glorifying Archana or NOT . You do not believe it is so . Fine . Maybe Many do . Fine to that too . I don't . I DO believe he was butchered as these shows r female Lead Shows targeted for female audiences . They have a certain serial formula and Ekta herself firmly reiterates that HER shows r run on FORMULA . My point is , some viewers like me believe HE WAS BUTCHERED . Even That is fine . The KEY ISSUE is not this at all .
Whether he was butchered for Archana or not is irrelevant .
Whether Archana should be shown THIS involved in her maika that she is willing to NEGLECT her children by giving them away to Varsha or not is also DEBATABLE .But again , that too isn't the point .We can debate about that LATER .
Nobody is even debating about whether Archana should be OBJECTIVE or SUBJECTIVE here . Infact ALL agree that she indeed WILL be subjective and hence Manav is needed to be firm to put her on the right path and tell her to focus on her children as they should at no cost be given to VARSHA .
Members like Tanya who have been faithful appreciators of this show are seriously considering LEAVING it if this gifting Soham away track continues . That made me do that post ...as She said that Manav should fire Archana if she does that .
I pointed out that MANY Archu Fans may not like it . I did not blame them .It was an objective statement . And WHY should they ?They are after all HER fans and they might feel HURT if his tone is HARSH . This is but NATURAL .
But over the discussions in these past few weeks with fans like Tanya , Omana , Usha etc I understood one thing ...NOBODY wants Soham given away and even THEY are not liking it that Manav is not more assertive . As They fully understand that Archu CANNOT be objective as you said .
So I came up with a suggestion that lets All Get together and demand TOGETHER . By keeping OTHER debates ASIDE .
This was my POV , bas . I was hesitating to say so precisely due to the risk of it being MISINTERPRETED , just like it was . But I went ahead and suggested it anyways as I did not want Tanya to leave the Show .
I hope I make myself clear now ?😊 We can drop the suggestion if u want , but I want to make one thing clear ...no one is blaming ANY Archu fans here . Whats there to blame in pursuing a common objective ?😕
