Part 16

Shilpa stayed with Riddhima in the hospital that night after the emotional confrontation and confessions. She felt happy that now she knew what was wrong and there is still a ray of hope to bring back happiness in the lives of her sister and her best friend. But the million dollar question was "How?" She had to think about something, make them relive their good times, allow them to spend time with each other. But before that she wanted Riddhima to talk to Sid. She might be her sister but yet she accepted that what Riddhima did was wrong and if seen from Sid's or anyone's perspective it is impossible for someone to forgive her. But if Riddhima could explain things to Sid, them maybe, maybe there would be a chance. And before all this she needed to instill hope in her sister, ask her to forget all the bad memories and make her believe that there is still chance. Its not all over. After all Sid loves her. He can't stay away from her for too long.

That night Sid couldn't sleep. Her words kept ringing in his ears. How could she break up with him? Was he the reason? No! It can't be. If he was the reason then she would never have said all those things she told Armaan that day. This can't be! Now what should he do? Should he talk to her normally, ignore her or act as if nothing has happened? All three were equally difficult for him to do. But yes there was one thing which he could do and that was "leave Panchgani" for the better. Now that she is fine and Shilpa is there to manage, he can go back to Hyderabad. He hated the fact that he is running away from situations but he had no other option. He couldn't stay back and walk in front of her like before. It would hurt him and maybe even her. And he was ready to undergo any pain for her. Though he wouldn't accept the fact that he still loves her, he did.

It was morning. Shilpa waited for Sid to arrive. She thought of something the last night and she wanted to implement it. Sid and Riddhima needed to talk without anyone around. She called him in the morning and he said he was going to come. Shilpa thought of talking to Riddhima but then she gave up the idea thinking it would be right for her to first talk to Sid.

"Are we going today?" Riddhima asked Shilpa.

"Yes di! We are. Just a few formalities left. Let the doctor first come and check you" she said

Riddhima nodded and she too was looking at the door time and again not for the doctor but for her cute doctor to arrive any time. How she wished things could be normal between the two. If it were normal then she wouldn't have been here on the bed with the mental distress she was in. She would have been in his arms happy and peaceful. But things weren't the way she imagined and this thought brought a tiny tear in her eye which she immediately wiped away not wanting Shilpa to see this. Shilpa was the second angel in her life. Her sister and now her everything. The door slightly opened and both the sisters were in for a disappointment when they saw someone other than whom they wanted to see appear. The duty doctor noticed the disappointment on their faces and said "Wonder why people are so scared on seeing the doctor?" Hearing this Shilpa immediately stood up and said "No no its nothing like that doctor. Please come in" and smiling she invited the doctor. He checked the reports and said everything was normal but the cast on her hand and leg would have to remain for a few days and she was not supposed to give stress to them. He told Shilpa about the medicines to be used and some precautions and he left saying "Have a nice day!"

As soon as the doctor left the door once again opened and both Shilpa and Riddhima didn't bother to look in that direction.

"Hey" they heard a familiar voice. It was Sid and Shilpa was more than excited to see him while Riddhima was also excited but nervous at the same time and she didn't dare to meet his eyes.

"Thank God Sid you're here" she said and started packing her things in a hurry acting as if she had to catch a train and resumed her talk "I have to go and set things straight at the orphanage before di comes. You know how it is. The place has to be all clean and tidy. so I'll go now. You and di start off after an hour or so" and she took her bag and was ready to leave.

"But Shilp.." before Sid could complete Shilpa broke his sentence and said "Bye Sid. Bye di" and went out of the room in a hurry.

Once she came out of the room she looked back for a second and started walking normally as she smiled at the thought of her plan working as planned.

They felt awkward. After yesterday their perspectives towards each other changed. While Riddhima now had a special place in her heart for Sid, at the same time Sid was unable to justify Riddhima's actions and was confused.

Shilpa reached the orphanage. Everything was perfect. She was proud of Nethra and was happy she took care of everything in her absence. She saw the door open and went inside. She walked without noticing the roller skates lying on the ground and placed her foot unknowingly on it. She slipped and shouted aloud closing her eyes with both her hands open wide. Something happened and she stopped shouting. When she opened her eyes she found herself in the arms of a guy. He had a fair complexion with brown eyes gazing at her. They looked into each others eyes for a few seconds when suddenly Shilpa realized and jerked out of his hold.

"How dare you hold me?" she asked angrily

"If I wouldn't then you would fall down" he said looking amused at her

His look irritated Shilpa. She said "That would have been my problem!"

"Oh hello! You should thank me for saving you from breaking your bones and instead you're shouting at me?"

Shilpa was getting angry and she was out of words also so she changed the topic immediately. "By the way what are you doing here mister?"

"If I ask you the same question miss?" he retorted with the same accent and throw. It seemed like he was thoroughly enjoying this encounter.

Before Shilpa could answer anthing she heard a voice behind calling her name. She turned around and her face which was red of anger turned into a pleasant one.

"Nethra!!"

They hugged each other and inquired about their well being. Then Nethra's gaze fell on the guy who was standing and observing this bonding.

"Ohh Shilpa I forgot to introduce you to my brother" and Shilpa turned to look at him.

"Shilpa he's Manish and Manish this is Shilpa" she smiled introducing them to each other.

Manish held his hand out to greet her but Shilpa didn't respond and acted uninterested. Nethra nudged her elbow slightly and Shilpa hesitantly shook hands with him while Manish was smiling looking at her innocence.

Time passed by and still there was silence in the room. None dared to talk. Sid pretended busy reading a magazine and Riddhima acted as if she was resting. After an hour Sid felt it was time for both of them to leave and said "I think we have to go" without looking at her.
She just nodded her head and was trying to get up. Finally she got up and sat on the bed with her legs touching the ground. She tried to stand up but lost her balance and was about to fall. Sid soon reached her side and held her tight. She looked into his eyes and so did he. There was an intense eye lock for a few seconds before Sid washed away his thoughts aside and looked in the other direction trying to avoid contact with her eyes. But she still kept gazing at him. Sid knew she wouldn't be able to manage herself and as always he lifted her in his arms. Riddhima still kept looking at him. She remembered the times during their first honeymoon. Even now it was the same. Sid was angry with her but he still did care. She was still staring at him with a faint smile playing on her lips while Sid looked the other way not meeting her eyes.

hey this was a stupendous update...and wow shilpa and manish...i imagined and they look awesome together..i hope shipa's tactics work more nxt time and i want sr to clear out the confusion...so update soon..

God! Some things just never change do they??? *Sigh*

I mean, Sid angry with Riddhima yet his concern for her overtakes every other emotion..

I just realized that Riddhima is absolutely devout to him whenever he is angry and she always has her realizations and almost realizations of her love for him when he is angry with her.. Maybe we should just keep Sid angry with her all the time 😕

Anyhow... Oh I see Manish has made a classic entry into Shilpa's life eh?? 😆 Ab Nethra ke liye bhi kisi ki entry karva do!! 😉

Fab update dear and I loved how Shilpa hurried out of the room without giving Sid a chance to speak!! Smart girl!!! But I guess its going to take a lot more to get SR comfortable around each other... Hmmm..

Anyways.. Continue super soon..

Awesome update...wow shilpa's first plan worked...today i saw sr honeymoon scene & i so can imagine this sr lift...manish & shilpa's first meeting was so dramatic...i so loved it...shilpa's action dekkar lagtg hai we ll some ms fighting near future...i hope sid wont leave panchgini😊 now luking forward to next part...continue soon...
