Chapter 26

Prem Yash and Arjun were pacing up and down the living room in the pool house' they were angry with maan' how could he have a girlfriend' after what they had been planning.. they wanted maan an geet together' they would have loved seeing their baby sister with they best friend' they had both been through a lot and seeing them together would have made them happy' but Pari..?? who was this Pari??

Prem ' Veerji' Yeh Maan bhi na?? he said annoyed'

Yash ' Mujhe uss par bohat gussa ah raha hai ' usne Us ladki ko humari ghar peh leh kar aaye tha' he said trying to ease his anger..

Arjun -  haan aur Geet ko dekha' uska chehra' kitni parshaan thi' he said sadly.. thinking about geet'

Prem ' veerji, mujhe Maan se milna hai' abhi'

Arjun ' Haan Yash, Usko Poochna hai.. ki vo aise kaise kar saktha hai.. aur vo bhi Geet Ki saath'

Yash ' kya Geet ki saath?? Usne kya humme bathaya tha ki vo geet se pyaar kartha hai' aur kya geet ne bhi humme bathaya tha ki vo maan se pyaar karthi hai? Nahi na?? he replied to their statements rather wound up..

Arjun ' haan .. he said silently' yeh tho hai??

Prem ' phir bhi' humko uss se poochna hai.. ki vo hummekyun nahi bathaya ki vo ladki kaun hai?

Yash ' haan '

Prem got his phone out and dailed maan's number.. it started ringing'

Maan ' hello'

Prem ' Maan'  dekh we have to meet.. NOW!! He said trying to scare maan a little'

Maan was abit afraid '.

Maan ' kyun??

Prem ' bas aise he' humko tumse kuch zaroori baat karni hai..

Maan ' teek hai.. kahan?? Aur kab??

Prem ' Aaj, erm in an hour' at the poolhouse'

Maan hesitated abit' - o..okay..

Maan wanted to asked about Geet.. but was too afraid of what his mates will say'

Maan ' vo' prem' erm' voo' he panicked abit..

Prem knotted his eyebrows.. maan he said..

Prem ' kya hua maan'

Maan ' vo kuch nahi' bas' erm.. poochna tha' vo' he stopped as he didn't know how to carry on'.

Prem ' Maan vo teek hai' bas so rahi ha'

Maan ' okay.. prem' im sorry.. he smiled'

Prem ' bas kuch nahi.. tum yaha aahoa na phir hum baat kartha hai'

Maan ' okay.. bye'. He put the phone down'

Geet was asleep in bed' she had a bad dream.. well what she thought was a dream was in fact reality'Geet was dreaming about maan..  Maan brought a girl to her.. told her that this girl was his and he was heres.. geet tried to shake away the images of  maan and pari.. she moved her head to the left'then she turned to the right as maan came back' turning to the right'   her sleep was disturbed by pain shooting through her wrist.. while sleeping she accidentally hit her wrist on the drawer next to her bed'

Geet ' ahhh.. she screamed' she shot up and grabbed her wrist' tears pouring down her soft, smooth angelic face'  no-one came as geet was on her own in the house.. her parents had gone to visit their friends in chandighar' Arohi and Meera were at sandiyah's house'

Nakul heard geet screaming'  he ran to her room' he switched the light on and saw geet crying' he ran to her and and brought her to his arms' hugging her'

Geet ' chacha' she cried' dard ho raha hai' she cried'

Nakul ' shhh shaant ho joa beta.. main yash ko bulatha hoon/..

He got to get yash' he ran down the steps and ran to the poolhouse' he push the door opened..

Nakul ' Yash beta'.. he yelled'

Yash, Prem and Arjun Were Talking about what they were going to say to maan' how they were going to try and get some information out of him' then they heard nakul shouting for Yash' yash whipped his head up and faced the door'

Yash ' nakul chacha' kya hua??

Nakul ' vo ' He was out of breath after running' he put his hands on his hips and bent down a bit'. Trying to breath properly'

Yash got up in an instant'

Yash ' kya hua geet ko..

Nakul ' usse khoon nikal raha hai. Uske haath par..

Prem & Yash ' Kya?!?!?!  They shouted in unison..

Nakul ' haan.. Jaldi aaye'

They all ran to geet' geet was sat on the bed crying for her veerji..

Geet ' Veerjiii' she got off the bed and ran to the bathroom' slowly she peeled of the bandage and that's whe she saw the sight of blood' her knees buckled' she grabbed hold of the sink to keep her balance'

Geet ' veerjiii she cried ' then she saw her veerjo who came and grabbed her before she fell to the ground'  

Geet ' veerji bohat dard ho raha hai' she sobbed into his arms'.

Then he picked her up and took her to her room and put her in bed' that's when the bad part came'

Just then maan came into the room after nakul told him that the boys were in geets bedroom..

He went up to see geet'he saw all were sat around her'

Maan ' Geet ' he whispered'

Prem was sat next to geet'

Prem ' veerji.. aap saaf kardo' main nahi kar sakta' he shuddered at the image of geet in pain yesterday'

Yash ' haan.. he said' prem held her legs and yash held her wrist' and arjun had her in his arms'

Arjun held her as yash had put anti septic cream on her wrist '

One name was in her mind.. one picturein her mind'

Geet ' Maaan' She screamed in pain '.she wriggled and wriggled.. Prem saw maan stood there in pain.. he called him and made him sit down next to geet.. he held her arm and spoke soft endearments '

Maan ' Shhh' Sweetheart' he said softly'  bohat daard ho raha hai'

Geet ' Maan' veerji si kahiya na' she sobbed' daard ho raha hai'' maan'

Maan ' deekh baby ' sab teek ho jayenga'  he whispered'.

Geet ' Veerji ' bas.. she said softly' she slowly drifted off to sleep leaving maan with tears in his eyes' hating that he is the reason for this pain he got up and went down stairs waiting for his friends'

Prem, Yash, Arjun And Maan were sat around the table'

Prem ' maan yeh kyat ha' vo ladki kaun hai.. he asked jumping straight in.

Maan ' vo meri .. he closed his eyes'. Girlfriend hai'

Yash ' tum jhoot kyun bol raha ho.. hum jaantha hai' tum humse kuch chupatha nahi' phir yeh sab kyun'

Maan broke down'

Arjun ' maan' ,kya hua?? He asked'

Maan ' mujhe daar lag raha hai' ki meri zindagi phir si dukiyo se baar jayenga'

Yash ' lekin kyun'

Maan ' mujhe ladkiyon par vishwaas nahi hai'

Yash ' hum yeh jaantha hai'

Prem ' but why??

Maan ' you know what '.. Sameera did with me'. Par kyun'.

Arjun ' yeah we know but'

Maan closed his eyes in pain' not knowing what to say to his mates' what will they say when they find out he likes their sister' yup he has admitted it' he likes Geet' but what will happen if they find out'

Prem ' Maan you shouldn't have brought that girl here yesterday' did you not see geet when you called her your girlfriend' did you not see the pain she had in her eyes' the tears' did you see her break down' he said all at once without any breaks' he had to let it out'

Maan ' Prem' he started but he was stopped by prem who of course carried on'

Prem ' we thought we will bring a nice guy into her life.. someone who will treat her better than we do' someone to love her' someone who understands what  she has been through'  Maan we though you like Geet.. he paused ' we tried to bring you both together' but this .. this is too much'.

Maan ' kya'.. yeh maine kya kardiya'. Usko door karna ki liya usko dard diya hai..  he whispered'

Yash ' we want you two together but you hurt her maan' but what you did yesterday' you hurt her'

Maan '  WHAT!!

Arjun ' haan maan... we want you and geet together.. you both deserve to be happy'  you have both been through so much.. or what you did yesterday you have hurt her maan'  pphir bhi vo tumhara naam leh rahi thi'

Maan was left feeling guilty with what had been said'
