Shilpa Shinde

How did you enter the TV world?
I enteredthe TV world five years ago. Prior to that, I acted in three South Indian films. Two of these, have been released. One will be releasing soon. Later, I got a chance t o act in 'Amrapali' on DD-1. I quit South Indian films when I got 'Bhabhi' on Star Plus.

What are your current projects on TV?
Nakab and Miss India on DD-1 and Bechara Big B on Zee Smile. I discontinued with many of my projects after Saath Rahega Always on Sahara One which will soon be going off air.

How much do you relate to the character in Nakab showing on DD-1?
I don't relate to my role in Nakab. The girl is forced to behave like someone else and I'm not like that. I do things, which interest me. I won't stay trapped in a situation for long and will try to come out of it as soon as possible.

Did you always want
to be an actor?
Not really. I was shy in school. Acting has always been my hobby. I 'm very choosy about what I take up. I can't compromise on my decisions.

What are your hobbies?
I only like to travel when I am driving otherwise I hate travelling. I love shopping too and like to spend on buying things for others and myself.

What has been you happiest moment?
My first happiest moment was when I bought my house and secondly when I bought my Honda City car with my effort.

Future plans?
I'm not interested in movies but if something interesting comes along and is challenging then I'll definitely consider it. I like doing ad films and was offered quite a few but couldn't take them up because of my busy schedule.
