"Heyyy baiii!" yelled Neelam seeing Maan in sight. Maan hugged Neelam. Geet went and greeted her distantly. After all she was only Maan's secretary. Dadima, Dev and Kaushaliya met her too. Everyone went off and started preparing for Dadima's birthday. Geet began decorating the big hall. Maan came behind and hugged her. "Maan ye kiya agar mummy ji ne dekh liya toh.."

"Toh kiya? Unne pata chal jai ga ke ye hot larki meri biwi hain" he gave her bedroom eyes. She smirked seeing his eyes. "Acha, toh sab tayariya hogai?".

"Haan Maan, aap upar ja kar ready hojai mehmaan thori der main arte honge". "Hmmmh!" and Maan walked off to get ready. Geet went to the outhouse and started changing her clothes. She began smiling to herself thinking about Maan. She wore a red sari and left her long hair open. She wore diamond chandelier earrings, a gold bindi and matching red nail varnish.

Geet entered the dark hall and found no one there. She walked and her stilettos were the only thing making a noise. She was about to fall that a pair of strong hands grabbed her. She looked up and saw two piercing deep eyes and the smell and aura of her Maan. She smiled and hugged him. He pulled her up and placed his hands on her hips. "Geet tume kaise pata tah main hoon?". She smiled and placed her hands around his neck. "Ye ho sakta hain Geet apne Maan ko na pehchaane?". He smirked and brought her lips closer "Acha?" Maaneet were coming closer that the lights came on. Maan looked at a ravishing Geet. And Geet admired Maan that was looking like this.

Geet kept checking the arrangements whilst Maan kept following her to steal a kiss from her. The guests started coming in and Shalini walked in. She met Maan and was chatting him up. Kaushaliya came and began talking to them both. After a good while all the guests arrived. The lights were taken off and the spot light focused on the top of the stairs. Kaushaliya took the mic and began talking "Aaj ka din hum Khurana's keliye khaas hain kyonki ye humare sab se bare bazurg ki saalgira hain, Maan , Dev, Annie aur Neelam ki dadima". Everyone clapped and dadima and Neelam began walking downstairs. "Mummyji we love you". Everyone began singing happy birthday. Dadima met everyone one by one. The party went underway and suddenly Kaushaliya began talking. "Can I have everyone's attention please...aaj iss khushi ke moke pe main aik aur good news bi share karna chahti hoon...mere Maan aur Shalini ki sagai".

Maaneet looked at each other shocked. Everyone began congratulating the family. Dev looked on sad and Geet had tears in her eyes. Maan clenched his fist and jaw and began marching towards his mother that dadima grabbed him. "Maan nahin beta aap chup ho jai, muje tora time do main sort out kar doo gi". Maan listened to her and stopped in his tracks. Maan went and drank a few glasses of alcohol. A newsreporter went up to Maan "Mr Khurana aap apne jeevan saathi ke baare main kiya kehna chahte hain?". Maan walked off and began singing.

Geet responds understanding his pain and frustration.

Geet carries on serving and fighting back her tears and Maan keeps getting dragged by Kaushaliya to meet Shalini's parents.

Maan: dil mera sanbhal jaaye duwa karana
paagal na machal jaaye duwa karana

Shalini: ye puchhata hai tujhase dil deewaana bekaraar
wo kaun si ada hai jise tu karega pyaar?

Maan: kisi se dil na lagaau yahi dhadakan ki sada hai
haal kya hai mere dil ka ye to bas mujhako pata hai
tumhe dekhe meri aankhe isame kya meri khata hai

Kaushaliya on purpose gives the rings to Geet to hand them to Maan and Shalini. She smiles trying to act brave. They exchange rings and everyone starts clapping. Geet gives Shalini's hand in Maan's and begins singing.

Geet:main tere sapano ko saja dungi dil tere kadamo mein bichha dungi

Maan walks off and punches the wall helplessly.

Maan:main kya bataau tujhako kaise hai mere haalaat
majaburiyon ke haath bik gaye mere jazbaat

Geet smiles proud of Maan and lets him know she understands his situation.

Geet: jis pe main lut gayi dilbar yahi wo teri ada hai
(haal kya hai mere dil ka ye to bas mujhako pata hai
Maan: tumhe dekhe meri aankhe isame kya meri khata hai

Shalini is happy and begins singing.

Shalini: haal kya hai mere dil ka ye to bas mujhako pata hai

Geet: Tume dekhe meri ankhen is main kiya meri khata hain

Maan: Haal kiya hain mere dil ka ye toh bas mujko pata hain

The party finishes and Geet goes back to her outhouse whilst Kaushaliya smirks and how Maaneet are breaking down. Geet changes her clothes and put her pyjamas on. Maan walks on all changed. He looks depressed. "Geet I'm sorry". Geet cups his face and talks to him cutely "Acha mera baby udaas hain, dekho main naraaz nahin ye halaat hi kuch aise hain".

"Nahin Geet ye acha nahin ho raha, main dadima se kal iss baare main baat karoo ga". Geet looked on sadly and hugged him consoling him and herself.
