oh anant better not be a wussy and just give in to CSB's WAHIYAAT decisions. C'mon his elder brother is with him and so will be his uncle and her mum and chachi if he himself musters up the courage. it's not about his love for navya at the moment as much as it is about his right to choose about his own darn life and about denying this nonsensical alliance with the most brainless chick ever!

So I sort of gathered some spoilers of today's episode from the posts above me... Sigh! I hate the way Navya as a show always seems to promise a great week with Monday openings, and then wither away as the week progresses - its almost a rule they follow.

Anyway, I'm going to quit wasting time cribbing and get to the points I want to make.

I was reading through the posts and in my opinion one good track forward could be such - Anant and Shagun engagement doesn't happen, like the rishta falls apart for A,B,C blah reasons. In a way that the third angle to this imposed triangle of love story falls away, and leaves behind AN. Let Anant's family sort of waste some dormant time lamenting the loss of a rishta/or brooding over a mistake without accepting it whatever, plus Nimisha's wedding and whatnot; and let Navya's family in the meantime have to deal with Renuka's matter coming to forefront. That will bring us back to where AN have the kind of time to make space in each other's life. So far, they've felt the spark, the attraction has happened, they understand they really want to be together, but they've never really had the time of getting comfortable in each other's company. There's always being guilty conscience, or some unnecessary pressure dangling over their heads like swords for them to find an entire sequence of ease and interaction - basically, they've gone all Twister game way in their bond, jumping from one point to another, skipping many in between junctions... So I'd like to see a track where the families after dropping the entire Anant Shagun drama get involved within their own respective alter agendas, and that circumstance gives these two time to settle into comfort zones. I don't mind if they sort of talk it out and clarify their complications and decide to be just friends, and then things take on from that platform, cause this way or that, the love story will eventually happen... In that same given period, it would be nice to see some inter family bonds/sequences. Say what someone said about Anant intervening in the Renuka-Gaurav scenario; or say Nimi and Navya finding themselves in some situation to sort of gel wit each other, or even AN learning lessons about their bonding by watching Ranbir-Ritz or something like that ... or I dunno, even something dynamic like Bua Daadi finding herself in a spot where Navya helps her out?! I dunno... iut doesn't have to be just positive, they can bring in twists like a showdown between Daadi and Baba (haha, I know, I'm just dying to get a chance to see that!) on some random account without knowing about Anant and Navya as respective grandchildren...

Whatever! You get the picture. I think showing AN in that kind of a phase will A) stay true to their youth flavor/college back drop while also making sense with the theme of the nayi soch.

B) There will be a way of involving all characters, giving them due space, and not pushing improbable scenarios in the pipeline just in the name of a twist!

phew - That's that! My proposal to meet some kind of unanimous consensus! CVs read please!!!

ps: once again, thank you everyone for getting a roaring discussion to happen here! This was fun (: Also, I din't reply individually cause most points would just be repetitive - but I appreciate everyone who had something to say, this way or that.

JZee as always beautifully written post..Everything I wanted to write has been said by you or the other posters, so not going to add anything new..😊
On another note, just watched today's episode..Anant is confusing me now..In the last episode he seemed like he agreed with what Ritz and Appy were saying and today when his bro asked him if he loved someone he shruggs off by saying "Ab kya farak padta hai" 😕
And Baba seems to be thinking about chat mangni, pat shaadi for Anant-Shagun..Arghhh someone please remind them Anant has not yet reached the legal age for marriage..But then again following too laws is probably too "adhunik" for these loonies..
Another thing I noticed, everyone but creepy baba, angry papa, hari om prabhu ji, and the banaras witches were wearing such long expressions when creepy baba announced Anant & Shagun engagement
I wanted Anant to tell navya about the impending engagement..Rama calling her up and taunting her is to kekta mayish..
When will this shagun torture end? I am craving to see something postive in this show..

Awww, I missed out on a good discussion! Either way, I'd have more or less said the same thing like laddoo598 said above. I absolutely love LadyMcBeth's idea of seeing a responsible Anant & Navya mutually deciding to put their feelings away till they become more stable in life.
But after tonight's episode, looks like our wishes are just going to remain wishful thinking.

Was an utter load of shit tonight, no offence to anyone. I'm slowly starting to feel indifference towards the show. Sure, Navya's family, Mohan and the interactions between friends are sure easy on the eyes, but the majority of scenes are becoming unbearably irritating. Even upto yesterday I was very willing to put up with / ignore the ridiculousness, but tonight's episode pretty much proved that the story isn't proceeding (anytime soon) into something--ANYTHING--thought-provoking. Simply put, the episode was barely a hairline away from becoming a saas-bahu serial. To top it off, yes, looks like, soon, banaraswaliyon ki baarish hone waali hain. *shudders* I need some REAL motivation to watch Navya now...

Honestly, I think they're taking the tagline a bit too seriously. Nayi soch, yeah. So they want to show the contrast between the old and young of today. But the 'old-fashioned people' in it... seems as if they time-travelled from the 15th Century. Grandpa-freaking-Guruji is letting his grandsons be twirled around by a bunch of bimbos, for crying out loud! No mention of concentrating on their respective careers, focusing on studies, encouraging interests and hobbies (oh wait, that's probably too waahiyaat), or even a little hint of him trying to make them work towards being people useful to society; forget about letting them develop individual identities & become straight-headed MEN.

...hmmm. CSB probably isn't even from a couple hundred years ago, he's a Neanderthal.

At this rate, we'll have to just refer to some old Kekta serial to predict what's going to happen next in Navya. Hopefully (& I sincerely hope, for the sake of all the reasons I started to like it), the CVs will prove this wrong.

Will come back when the show ACTUALLY starts moving😆 If it's just going to be an overdose of the creepsters on one end and on the other end AN crying endlessly, sorry I don't have the patience😕

anuuu...i think its time for some comic posts in the forum to keep the readers entertained atleast since the epis seem to be rather boring n stagnant...😆😆

I'll be the optimist for Monday at least - because Mondays are good goes my superstition 😆

But on a serious note, I half let go of this one before my holiday, and when I came back I actually thought something had come alive again. But no amount of good scenes, as you say Aimin, can make up for a generally redundant going no where saas bahu saga. No please.

We'll be a bunch taking break in that case I suppose. Today was bad. And bad is pretty euphemistic and understated. When you come to a point that you can't tell what is more hateful about a show (read: Banaras waaliyan vs CSB in our case) its an alarm for the CVs to set off on the path of redemption anyway!

I havent even watched today's epi...thx to all the terror filled news floating here😲😆...but srsly...the CVs need to stop rotating in circles n get on with the story...engagement karwani he...toh karo...why make it a live chewing gum...I wanna see the after effects on navya n anant...I wanna see navya grow into this strong n self-confident gal of today...who has flourished in studies and is learning to become independent...I wanna see growth in characters...
