May 5th, 2011 Written Update

Runjhun recognizes the cellphone that was gifted by Guddu. She says Kukkan and moves back into the room. Mahadevi realizes that Runjhun is still in the room as she is checking the cellphone. She tells Runjhun that she will eat later and to leave her room.

Runjhun questions her about the phone but Mahadevi keeps hiding facts. She mentions the Bindi and Mahadevi lies again. She offers to pay but Runjhun persists to get to the truth. She questions Mahadevi if this was given to her by one of Guddu's friends. Just as Mahadevi is about to reveal who gave the phone, Mittho walks in and sees Mahadevi has not eaten. She asks why Runjhun is in the room. Mahadevi turns tables on Runjhun and accuses her of interrogating her like the police. Mittho and Mahadevi start their verbal abuse of Runjhun and Mittho starts on her guilt trip tirade about raising Runjhun from childhood when her parents died and left her there and how they raised her. Runjhun does not say anything because she does not want Mahadevi to get in trouble with Mittho. Runjhun looks very hurt by the abusive words. Mittho threatens to physically hurt her if she does not leave the room. Runjhun leaves.

Next, in the bedroom, Guddu has returned drunk and disheveled, throws himself on the bed and mutters that Mahatma Runjhun Anant Ji will return and ask why he drank alcohol today. She will lecture him about the ills of drinking, bad for his health, etc. but he has decided he will not pay heed to her. Runjhun returns and sees the bottle and Guddu sprawled on the bed.

Runjhuns asks him when he returned and Guddu tells her that does he have to tell her when he has to come and go and what he does and does not do. Why is she quiet. She loves to lecture and why is she not lecturing. He knows her well, too well, to go ahead, let it all out. She says has nothing to say and asks if he has eaten. He says he has not and to go food for him. She leaves. He talks to himself that something is wrong (gadbad hai), she is not lecturing. Runjhun walks in with food and he says he does not eat cold food. Runjhun tells him the food is hot. He moves to the sofa. He orders her to pour him a glass of water as Runjhun fixes the bed. She pours him a glass of water and he starts eating, staring at her from time to time. He says he is done eating as Runjhun settles in to bed. He tells her he will drink everyday from here on and if anyone has any problems with that he does not care. Her response is that he can do whatever he feels like doing and gets down to sleep. Guddu plops himself on the bed and says that he is done with sleeping on the floor and he will now sleep on the bed.

He tells her if she has any problems and that she may have become used to sleeping on the bed. She says no she is not and gets up to put the food tray away. As she makes arrangements to sleep on the floor he says he will now sleep with the lights on. She proceeds to sleep on the floor.

He falls on the bed and turns to look at her and asks why is she talking so lifeless. Has she not eaten. She mentions that she has taken a vow (Pran) not to eat until the first sale in the Center, regardless of the number of days it takes. He says, he does not care and she can do whatever she wishes. He is going to bed. He turns around to sleep and she turns to look that he has..

Next day...

She is setting up at the Center and talks to herself that she did not realize that Mahadevi's involvement has reached a gifting stage. Just then Kukkan walks in apologetic about being late as he is not used to getting up this early. She asks him about the phone and if he put away. He says, if Bhabhi says and he does not do it is impossible. She asks to see the phone and Kukkan goes searching. He talks to himself that if he mentions he gave it Jabbo, Bhabhi will think he is not trustworthy. She says she is aware that he gave the phone to someone and he admits but does not mention Jabbo. She lectures him that this will cause a lot of problems and he says is ashamed of what he did. She tells him that this is a small town and such things will spread like wildfire. He is confused but admits his guilt. She asks Kukkan to make a promise to her that he will not meet. And he asks meet who? And she says why are you bringing it up again. Let us not tell Guddu and he promises not to, but is still confused.

Mahadevi and Jabbo are talking and she is afraid Runjhun will tell her parents and she will be in trouble. Jabbo says he will solve the problem. Mahadevi is happy and Jabbo is thinking.

Precap: Runjhun gets a phone call and no one talks on the other line. Kukkan picks up the phone and Guddu tells him not to identify him. He is watching from the mansion. Guddu asks if there were customers and Kukkan replies in the negative. He asks if his Bhabhi has eaten and again Kukkan replies in the negative. Guddu is watching surreptitiously from the gates at Runjhun sitting in the Center.
