Mumbai, April 13, 2011 (Washington Bangla Radio / Kreation Guru) It is now official that Ronit Roy will once again appear with Shweta Tiwari in 'Adalat', a serial to be aired on Sony TV. They became a favorite of those who had regularly viewed 'Kasautii Zindagi Kay' by Ekta Kapoor, three years ago.
'Kasautii Zindagi Kay' was a drama in serial aired on Star Plus. Ekta Kapoor, the famous soap opera producer of Balaji Telefilm, was the mind behind the popular serial which ran 1400 episodes. The first episode began on Oct. 2001 and the 1400th episodeended on Feb. 2008 covering a time span of almost 5 years. The serial was so popular and captivating that it bagged an all time number 3 among the top 10 shows of Star Plus.
Ronit Roy is a well-known figure on the silver screen as well as on the small screen. He has made an outstanding name for himself on Indian TV being referred to as the 'Amitabh Bachchan' of the small screen. He has acted in several films like Dushmanon Ka Dushman, Bomb Blast, Jaan Tere Naam, Sainik, 15 August, Tehqiqaat, Bansodhar (Bengali), Kisna, Army, Nishan- the target, Megha, Hulchul, Pankh, Khatron Ka Khiladi, Glamour Girl and Udaan. Some of the movies she has acted in are Aabra Ka Dabra, Madhoshi, Hamar Sayian Hindustani, Dahek, Ae bhouji Ke Sister, Kab Aibu Anganwa Hamar, Benny And Babloo, Apni Boli Apna Des and Trinetra (a Nepali film). Some TV serials in which she has acted are Aane Wala Pal, Kaleerein, Khoobsoorat, Karam, Kiraayedar, Gaz Foot Inch, Shararat, Rishtey, Kaahin Kissi Roz, Daddy Samjha Karo, Kasautii Zindagi Kay, Yatra (show host), Dost, Nach Baliye 2, Sanjog Se Bani Sangini, Ye Hai Jalwa and Aajaa Mahi Vay (both with Ronit Roy), Jalwa, Ajeeb and Jaane Kya Baat Hui. In 'Adalat', the viewers will once again get to watch their favorite couple of Kasautii Zindagi Kay. In 'Adalat', Abheer Goswami will play as Revathi's (Shweta) husband as Amrit. The story revolves around a murder case where Amrit is trapped for which Revathi fights out. Ronit (as K.D. Pathak) is a lawyer and helps the couple out of the murder case.
