For Sindhi community, it's the day for Cheti Chand fest

While Gudi Padwa is for Maharashtrians, it's Cheti Chand for Sindhis. To make the day special, Mulund Sindhi Sabha (MSS) a charitable organisation, has organised Cheti Chand celebrations on April 3. The event has been organised at Shree Datta Krida Prabhodini Grounds, next to Fortis Hospitals, Link Road, Mulund West.
"Sindhis celebrate the festival in honour of the birth of Ishtadeva Uderolal, popularly known as Jhulelal. This day is considered to be very auspicious and is celebrated with pomp and gaiety. Some worship water on this day by offering 'Akho', a pinch of rice mixed with milk and flour in any water body. It is also observed as thanks giving day," said Manish Motwani from MSS. The festival holds lot of importance for the community and is celebrated on a grand scale. The first day of the Chaitra month is known as Chet in Sindhi. Hence, the festival is called Cheti Chand, he added. People greet others saying 'Cheti Chand jyon lakh lakh wadayun athav' while businessmen religiously open new account books on this auspicious day.
The event will begin at 6pm to promote Sindhi culture by way of a musical extravaganza. The fun filled evening presents the perfect setting for a cultural show which includes melody, dance performances, skits, lucky draws, prize distribution followed by felicitation and rewards to those who have made a difference and enriched the Sindhi community and the nation.
Among them are Niranjan Hiranandani (Chairman & MD, Hiranandani Constructions), Ram Jethmalani (MP), Hiten Tejwani(Actor), Manju Nichani (Sect. HSNC Board) and Dr Bhavna Motwani (Principal CHM college).
Minister for Cultural Affairs Sanjay Devtale, Minister for State for Housing and Environment Sachin Ahir and Member of Parliament Sanjay Patil will also grace the event as chief guest and guests of honour.

our serials r much more popular dan their serials😉,,& dat 2 to dubing kaun karega??shayad tamil,telegu channel par aata hoga,,i m not sure..
