Wow Savera what a wonderful post I loved you really explained Nivi and Viren well also their childhood. If I say everything come back to same stage.
If we think from Viren's point of view as a child for him 3 persons were most important behind whom he use to run DS, Sid and Nivi. He loved three of them and wanted attention from 3 of them. He remembered all of them whereas everyone else forgot him this show the intensity of love he had for them.
DS he said that day to keshav as a father you will be angry and couldn't forgive Nivi but as a human you will understand she also had a reason for that. But in case of Viren he failed to apply that logic he always saw his fault and he became Victim of DS strictness in childhood though DS loved Viren verymuch but couldn't see his pain in childhood.
In a same way like Nivi became Victim of Keshav strictness and Sid became Victim of VD strictness now days though both Keshav and Vandana loves Nivi and Sid very much but they were not able to see the pain in last few months.
He sent Viren to boarding school away from family in childhood and Chanchal couldn't do anything in a same way when Sid had to marry Divya due to manipulations of Chanchal and VD and DS couldn't do anything for that.
Sid was always very good never thought bad for other intentionally but hurt them unintentionally. I understand at time when all these things happen with Viren in childhood even Sid was child but he also had his own share of mistakes. He did ignore Viren as a child though Viren use to run behind him. He teared the kite because he felt Sid is angry on him because of kite. This show how much he loved Sid and wanted his attention too. Other thing if you remember 2 incidents where complains came regarding Viren Sid was present there like school he won the match and he knew other person mocked Viren which made him angry, second during apple incident Sid also knew Viren aimed apple only. But he didn't try to defend him. I am not finding fault in Sid or saying he had done anything wrong but couldn't support Viren. He always lacked that power speak and defend innocent when they are blamed in front of his eyes. In childhood Viren was victim and in adulthood Nivi became the Victim. When these things happened to Viren then even Sid was young so it's no big deal but happen to Nivi was in adulthood and it became Sid's weakness. When Viren was sent away from family then everyone was young and no one even remember Viren when they grow up.
Nivi was too young at that time to understand what's going around her and everyone has their friends. She also was engrossed in Sid and never saw Viren (Viren was literally hurt by that). Both Sid and Nivi ignored Viren in childhood and hurt him very unintentionally though they genuinely loved Viren but today they were hurting each other in a same way though genuinely loved each other and had loss each other to their own cousins. If we see the trend Divya never remembered anyone still she was important to all but Sid and Nivi remember each other and Divya too and forgot about Viren. Viren remembered all of them when everyone actually forgot him.
Three of them had beared the loss in their childhood Viren was sent to boarding away from the compelete family where no one went to even meet him, Sid lost his father at such a young age and had to see the humilation of his mother, Nivi lost her mother at young age and had to bear her father ignorance.
Logically 3 of them suffered like Viren to the world have everything his parents, GP, Tayiji, brother and best friend all loved him very much and no one thought ill about him but everyone failed to show that affection towards him. He was left alone like child who has lots of food but can't eat it or have water but can't drink it. More than loving someone it is necessary to show him also. This condition is very painful because no one actually understands your loss, emptiness, need, pain or takes you seriously. They think you are spoiled and immature despite of having everything you are complaining about your problems. They show you other kids whose lose bigger than you. But that loneliness, pain and unwantedness, untrust of other break a kid from inside is never seen to anyone and worst is the case when you even can't show them your pain on your face.
Sid he lost his father and his mother was humilated and chacha chachi always had ill plans for you. But his emptiness, pain, need was understood by his Grandparents and mother and he was showered with love and care. Though visibly his problem is bigger but he had his family to fight with it. He could actually share or speakout in lap of his mother and tell her his problems and pains.
Nivi lost her mother and his father ignored her, chacha chachi were too selfish to care about her but she also had her Grandmother who single handedly not only raised her but erase all her pains with love and care. Her pain, emptiness, need was also understood and was visible to her gramdmother. She could also cry on her loss.
Viren's actions can be justified till wedding to Nivi though we can understand his anger but his actions after wedding were not justifiable. But he really deserves a second chance to rectify all his mistakes which he made in his anger or hatred.
