Nupur's Place

Its past noon & Naku & Nupur still sleeping … Mayank sis wedding had finally finished yesterday ..they had come in quite late at night .. they had been so dead tired that they dropped to bed straight away as soon as they changed & they still did not feel like getting up … their sleep is broken by the ringing of the alarm …. A hand comes out of the blanket & after sum hand searching Naku manages to shut off the alarm … she goes bak to sleep ….. after a while they r again disturbed by the shrill ringing of the bell … Naku hand again comes out & reaches 4 the alarm clock .. but its not the alarm ,,the phone was ringing which was kept on the other side of the bed …Naku nudges Nupur to pick up the phone … Nupur takes the pillow & keeps it o her ears …. Naku nudges her again to pick it up .. Nupur stirs a little ,, picks up the phone ,,taking it inside the blanket ..& drawls in a sleepy voice ..hello …who is it …

Its Dutta at the other end ..who wanted to talk to Naku ..

Nupur : Dutta ..itni subah subah …. Thoda w8 nahi kar sakte thay ..

Dutta : hello ji …… subah subah ..see the time ..its already past noon … don tell me u both still in bed …

Nupur : haan hain to ….. the function ended so late last night …

Dutta : Okiie u sleep … Naku ko to phone do ….

Nupur nudges Naku & passes the phone to her … Nw Naku turn to take it under the blanket … Nupur tries to go back to sleep .. She is tossing around but can't sleep as she can constantly hear Naku giggling & whispering on the phone under the blanket …. Finally she gets up …taking a cushion she throws it at Naku .. Naku head comes out of the blanket …. She glares at Nupur & mouths "what" ….. Nupur glares angrily back at her ,, showing tongue at her she marches 2wards the washroom ..

After freshening up Nupur goes to the kitchen to make sum tea … she comes back to the room with 2 cups of tea … Naku is nw in the washroom to freshen up … she is sipping her tea when the phone rings again …. Thinking it to b Dutta,, Nupur picks the phone ..

Nupur : abhi to phone kiya tha ….. dil nahi bhara …

A female voice : Kya bol rahi hai ..

Nupur stutters : auntie aap …. Sorry main samjhi koi aur tha .. kaisi hain aap ..

Babi : main theek hoon Nupur beta …tum sunao ..sab theek to hai na wahan .. Naku se baat nahi huyi kaafi din se …

Nupur : Haan auntie ..wo zara shaadi mein busy thay ..Naku washroom mein hai … nikalti hai to baat karathi hoon ..

Babi : Arey haan …shaadi kaisi guzri … sab kaam theek se ho gaya na ..

Nupur : haan auntie ..sab ek dum theek se huya … bahut enjoy kiya humne ..

Babi : chalo achcha hai ….meri taraf se Mayank ko Mubarak baad dena … waqt per sab ho gaya … bas ab tum dono bhi ghar basalo ..

Nupur blushing : Kya auntie …aap bhi ..

Babi in a worried voice : arey to kya main galat bol rahi hoon …. Meri to prathna hai k tumhara aur Naku ka bhi ghar bas jaye ….

Nupur : Aap kyun fikr karti hain .. sab theek ho jayega .. waise Naku k liye yahan koi ladka dekhun ..

Babi excitedly : Koi hai kya teri nazar mein ..

Just then Naku comes out of the wash room ..Nupur sees her ..

Nupur : Hain na auntie ….bahut achcha ladka hai meri nazar mein Naku k liye .. khoobsoorat , khandaani ,, khaata peeta ghar … Naku ko palkon pe bitha k rakhen gein ..aap kahen to baat chalaun ..

Naku ears prick up ..she turns 2wards Nupur ..she nears to Nupur ..

Nupur winks at Naku & continues : Arey wo to shaadi pe bhi mila tha Naku se ..

Naku snatches the phone 4rm her : haan aaye …kaisi hai tu …

Babi : theek hoon …..teri kab tak waapsi hai ..kitne din ho gaye …ab to shaadi bhi khatam ho gayi ..

Naku : Haan aaye shaadi khatam ho gayi hai …… main do teen din tak aajaungi …. Kuch kaam hai yahan … sab wahan theek hain na … Baba theek hain ..

Babi : Tujhe to sab pata hai …… lagta hai phir kuch gadbad kar ke aaya hai … main to pareshan ho gayi hoon …

Naku : Kya gadbad ki hai is baar …..Tu pareshan na ho ..main jaldi aane ki koshish karegi …aur Sethji to theek hain na …

Babi : Haan theek hao wo bhi ….. achcha wo Nupur kya keh rah thi ….koi ladka hai …

Naku : Aaye … Nupur bhi na ….aise hi .. achca main aake bataungi …. Abhi rakhti hoon ..

Naku puts down the phone & turns 2wards Nupur … Kya zaroorat thi maa ko bolne ki ..

Nupur winks at her : achcha hai na ….tere liye aasani kar rahi thi …

Rano was getting ready to go the office … she had to go to the office early as Baaji had been out of town 4 a few dayz … he had given the charge to her uncle (manager) ..& as she went with him every day so uncle too wanted that nw also she went with him … she is sitting in 4rnt of the mirror brushing her hair … she recalls about Baaji who had come here 3 dayz ago to meet uncle … she blushes just at the thought of that incident … she had been so embarrassed at that time …

Three Days Ago ..

It had been a Sunday morning … Uncle was not at home ..& Rano was helping her aunt in the kitchen ,,who is preparing lunch 4 them .. Rano is also baking a cake 4 her uncle ..she knew that he liked it .. her aunt is talking with her while cooking ,, Rano chipping in sumtimes ..her hands are moving fast helping around but in her mind she is thinking of Baaji .. she is confused on Baaji behavior ..he seemed too mysterious to her .. she couldn't get any info out 4rm her uncle as he wasn't keen on discussing it ,, she had made a decision that she would find out everything about Baaji no matter wat .. after finishing with the work she goes to her room .. she thinks of getting fresh ... she takes a quick shower ..she comes out with a towel wrapped on her head.. she looks at her reflection in the mirror .. She had been thinking about her moments spent with Baaji …. Suddenly her thoughts r broken up by the sound of the door bell .. thinking that uncle must b at the door she runs to open but then stops as this is not uncle style of ringing …the door bell rings again .. she slowly walks to the door & opens it …. Rano is shocked ..

Rano is shocked to see Baaji at the door .. she stands there dumbstruck looking at him … Baaji too stands there mesmerized by her beauty…. She was looking very pretty as usual in her simple shalwar suit .. towel wrapped around her ..her face glowing ..he inhaled the sweet scent coming 4rm her.. they r totally lost in each other ..

Baaji hands slids down her waist & pulls her closer … her head hits his chest ,, her arms on his shoulders .. she looks up into his eyes … their eyes meeting … they could feel each other breaths on their faces .. Baaji removes the towel 4rm her hair ..
