I want to go, to be rid of this place which I am forced to live in. I hate it here, the people suck, it stinks and well I'm just bored with it.

At times I used to love living here, I once felt free and alive and now I feel dead and bored. I kind of wish someone could scoop me up in their arms and run away with me. But who am I kidding, I'm shilpa and there's nothing interesting about me, who would want to escape with me. I'm not exactly pretty but I'm not ugly,i am way too simple... it's just the way I am.

After finishing making my bed, I walked swiftly down the stairs, which led to the kitchen so I could grab a bite to eat, but he would be here soon and I would never finish my breakfast, so on second thought maybe I'll skip, just this once, it's not like I'm hungry.

*HONK HONK* That had to be him, my one and only friend Karan Singh Srover. I picked up my hand bag and dashed out the front door.

"Good Morning, Shilpa!! Looking amazing as always" he said with a sunshine smile. 'Til this day this friendship confused me, Karan was well incredibly popular and HOT!!! There were line-ups of girls asking to either go out with him or just to hook up, but he would always say "Naw, that's okay, there's one girl on my mind, and until then I'm not going out with anyone." Everytime I would ask him who it was he'd just chuckle and say "That's for me to know and you to find out."

"Mornin' Karan," I said half-heartedly, as I got myself seated beside him.

"What's wrong S?" he asked concerned, Karan was always concerned about me, he once told me "it was his destiny to protect me" I would just laugh and say "Alright mister destiny man, what exactly are you protecting me from?" That's when he'd silence and just think and after an hour (exxagerarting more like 5 minutes) he'd say "from yourself"

"Uh, nothing in particular, just the usual, mom never home so it's just me...anyways I'm not here to bring you down, what are we doing today?" I asked.

He ran his hand through his black hair and casually said, "You know our thing...we'll go to "our" river, "our" tree house, "our" mall, and then we'll go to my house and watch "our" movie in my room," I've never realized how wierd that sounded, you'd think we were dating, we had a lot of "our" things, like "our" song, "our" park etc. you get the point.

"Oh...okay," I said a bit dazed.

"What's on your mind?" he asked, softly, I loved how he cared so much about me.

"I-I, I just want to escape, you know? I want someone to take me away, for a week to a place where I can just be myself and happy," I explained to him. At that moment he did a sharp U-turn

"Change of plans, go home and get a weeks worth of clothing, I am kidnapping you," he exclaimed.

"Huh?" I asked dumbly.

The car came to a complete stop in front of my house, he then turned his head and looked me deep in the eyes, "Shona, I want to be that someone to take you away," he said looking at me.

"What, why?"

His face inched towards my face and he whispered in my ear, "I love you." When he said that it tingled throughout my whole body.

"Shilpa, you don't seem to get it, your the girl that's always on my mind, from the moment I saw you , I knew you were the one. Shilpa Anand, I Karan Grover love you," he said smiling at me. At that moment Karan was looking more cuter than ever, his blue eyes seemed to stand out more, he had the most perfectly toned body. Any boy who would ditch the rest of the popular crew for one emotionally damaged girl, was amazing.

"Well that's good because I love you too."................................................❤️
