My take for those of you online. Bye guys. Happy discussion.
What can I say about the episode? It was beautiful! What I saw between Maan and Geet was more passion and love then anything physical or materialistic. The conversation between Maan and Geet, only depicted how pure and divine their relationship is. Maan promises all the happiness in the world to Geet, while she shares her worries with him.Your heart goes out to her while she explains her life is not accustomed to happiness and she isn't sure if it is even possible. The best part is he tells her that the baby has become both their happiness and responsibility. He officially takes on the duty of becoming father to her child. Geet is somewhat consoled. But her fears will take time to over come. Maan must prove to her that he can give her the life he has promised. They cannot be empty words of comfort. Only then, Geet will truly defeat those fears. He must show her through his actions. Which i see him doing already in the precap. Daadi, looks down upon them as they ho,d hands and Geet attempts to release his hand. He does not let her go. He is fulfilling the duties of a husband.
Naintara does her drama once more. She goes to Dev asking him for her last five minutes of life with him. Did I feel bad for her? Not really. 😆 A women like her deserves to be in prison. I don't blame Dev for asking her to leave. But he is equally to blame for everything. He allowed her to begin her schemes in the first place and supported her on it. Till this day, I am still baffled as to where his remorse came from. I would have liked for him to stay negative. I feel his character has much more scope that way. But this remorse and sainthood, leaves him in one dimension.
Back to Naintara, in the scene where she breaks the mirror and replays the events of the night, there was clear anger etched on her face. However that anger was only because she had failed. That is why I cannot sympathize with her. Somehow this suicide attempt is also because she feels she has no other way to win. I find it hard to believe someone like Naintara would commit suicide. It does not seem like her. I see her as a vicious evil that will do anything to get what she wants. The suicide attempt may be one of her ploys to gain sympathy and support. I for one would prefer that then have her admit defeat and try to die. The mark of a good villain is always to kill others and preserve self. 😆
Prince Charming walks down the hall in bliss and goes to see his Damsel in distress. She stands by the mirror and remembers his chivalrous act (maang bharaoing). He watches from the window and realizes there must be a thousand questions running through her head about their relationship. Maan comes in the room and there are beaded curtains blocking him from Geet. He moves them aside and the beads all come raining down on the floor. Then he walks over them to go to his lady love. This symbolized that he would break any barriers and hurdles between them. Him walking over the beads symbolized that he would defeat any obstacle they would face to be together. And the beads were red and yellow, wedding colors. Perhaps they were giving us hints to a grand wedding soon.
Maan tells Geet that he didn't put "sindoor" on her just because of the situation they were in, but in fact he wants to make her his life partner. Dialogues here were very good, except they were in Urdu. I think dialogues should be in Hindi. Some people did not understand it . It did not suit Maan's characteristics. Yes he is a man in love, but he said it himself, he is still Maan Singh Khurana the dusht danav. The Urdu made him seem like some poetic genius instead. But the scene was beautiful nonetheless. Geet looks at him though innocent and teary eyes. Drashti was excellent with the expressions here. The sadness was so visible that I as always genuinely felt sad with her. I would love to see her glow with happiness for some time.
Editing was good today. I hope they continue to improve. Continuity gives the episodes much smoother flow and does not leave the audience flustered. Also we should not be able to see the editing mistakes. One issue was, the loud Maahiii. The BG needs to be toned down. The instrumental is fine, but when the Maahiii screeching begins and it becomes too much. The voice is just not appealing to hear. It should be melodious. Barry Dhillon, Superb dialogues as always. Loved them. Gurmeet and Drashti, take a bow, brilliant performance by both. Karishma was very good. Abhinav Sukhla showed improvements well. All scenes were executed well.
Overall a 9.5/10
