Chinadoll : Scene 14
Dev had the Monday Blues and didn't feel like working... He was hanging around the house, making a few phone calls, while Radhika was busy instructing the maids what to cook for dinner, since Dadima & Vaishali went out to lunch with friends!
Dev was busy so Radhika goes up to their room to tidy up their room, make the bed and sort out their dirty laundry for dry cleaning....after that she goes back downstairs to thread some more garlands for the idols.
She didn't see Dev around and wondered where he went. Dev was in the guesthouse office, looking through some files, when his phone rings... it was Radhika! He smiled and answered "miss me?" Radhika said "Not me, but the baby misses you!" Dev gets this Romantic look on his face and says softly " but I miss his mother!" Radhika is quiet... Dev said "Radhika? she replies "jhee" Dev said what are you doing ? Radhika doesn't answer, cos she was walking towards the office to surprise him!
She walks in quietly .. Dev's back was to her so she hugs him from behind and said "Surprise" he leans back on her, with eyes closed, savoring her closeness! He then turns, goes down on bended knees and kisses her stomach, saying "baby you missed me?" Radhika moans... the phone rings, startling them.. Dev doesn't answer, hoping it would stop ringing.. she whispers "the phone" he answers rudely...listens for a second and hangs up!
He is quiet for a second, Radhika says "what's wrong?" he sighs saying "I have to leave for Old Delhi, and won't be back till very late..." Radhika said, "There's no lunch, and I actually called to suggest we eat out!" well... Let me fix you something real quick while you change. They walk back to the main house quietly!
Radhika fixes some uppama and serves it with Mangoe pickle. She reminds him to take his phone and charger and have Hanuman drive him, so he will not be driving home so late, by himself. He calls Hanuman to tell him to be ready for the trip!
Radhika tells them to be careful, hugs & kisses Dev, and, watch them leave!
