Yep, it is a cliche. But just think for a minute. What would be the reason for Geet to do anything at this point in her life? Her baby right!! Isn't marriage an institution wherein the baby will get a name? Isn't marriage a solution for her standing side by side with a man whom she has come to respect and admire? I agree that Geet is a show about a girl standing by herself to face all the hardships of life. But she cannot do it alone. And its a mean mean world outside. She needs someone to give her support, to lead her when she is lost and hold her when she needs to cry. She does not need to depend on Maan. She can help herself. Maan will not be her sahara. He will be her saath - her saath in fighting the world, her saath in fighting for her rights.

You just cannot ignore the people around you. You are a part of the society. Geet might not care about what the world talks about her, but when people come to know how she knew Maan from before, how she stayed at his house together, she might give in so that Maan and Dadima don't get hurt in the process. Because Geet is a person who wouldnt want anybody else to suffer because of her.

Ash here I agree with Doodle, I too can't see marriage in the near future that too so soon! They have to solve the problems first. Moreover if they show Geet all readily tying the knot with Maan she will be ripped apart by so many here. Imagine just by saying Maan has entered her heart involuntarily she is hearing so much, if she gets married god only knows how much of name calling she is going to get.

@Doobs @Ash @Lana: my god! I am going nuts with the P & C! Damn happy to see the CVs reaction to Jo, Doobs on the pregnancy stuff! Cool, aye! And the stuff about all your ideas being taken up by them.

But Ash do u think Geet being the female lead will marry Maan knowingly in this situation? I mean aren't all female leads all 'mahaan' & sacrifice instead of looking for help or aid from the male protagonist? She will be like 'No sir I can't let u in my troublesome life, I want to face all the problems alone, by the guardian to my baby without any help from any one'.....I can see her doing this instead of accepting Maan's marriage proposal.

Oh another thing caught my attention. I think when the truth will be out Geet will have to face a lot & most probably Dadi won't be there. Or else why will she make a comment of going away to Paris the other day? Just hope I am wrong here, I don't want to see the poor girl facing the wrath & insult of Dev & NT all alone!
