Salim plays saviour When an out of control car banged into Salman Khan's expensive make-up van in Bandra, matters could have taken an ugly turn had it not been for the timely intervention of Salman's dad Salim Khan.
An eye witness recounts, "The girl, who is in her mid-twenties, was driving very fast and even her car was badly damaged. On hearing the loud crash, Salman's staff rushed down and gave the girl an earful.
When she realised the van belonged to Salman, she started trembling with fear." But fortunately for her, before things could get out of hand, Salim Khan intervened. "Salim quickly defused the tense situation. He was very concerned about the girl and told her to drive more carefully in future.
During the conversation, he discovered that the girl's family is known to him. Since her car was badly damaged, Salim also arranged for her to get dropped home safely." Salim Khan confirmed, "It wasn't a big deal. The girl was driving fast, lost control and hit Salman's van. Then she got very nervous. Thankfully she did not hurt anybody."
