kajol has 6 filmfare awards.its sad that they never acknowledge her best actress award for minsara kanavu the tamil film she did.5 best actress in popular category n one best actor in a negative role. beat that. :D

@___fanaa4u___ popular or critics their both the same thing since they are both awards :D Plus I like the critics award better since that one is decided by the jury the people who actually are in the film industry and they don't look at the popularity of an actress but they look at the acting/performance. So for me critics award are above popular award. A legend like Amitabh Bachan has a lot of critics awards thatz says a lot to me. Enough Said!!!!!

no critics and popular two very different things uptill 2009 the awards have been nominated and given by the audience! and it is not the same----otherwise y wud they have 2 categories for it?? and as far as i remember kareena has only 1 won critics award filmfare and only 1 popular category, her box-office record is quite bad, if in another 10yrs she is able to achieve wat kajol has i will shutup! and if u like the critics awards better or kareena better that is ur personal choice, everyone knows that the popular category matters a lot and how box-office and also fan-following matters a lot!! a legend like amitabh has given gazillion hits and has also won many popular category awards!! and bak when he was an actor things were different!

This is a tough call for me! I have watched Kajol since I have been a lil girl but sometimes I feel that as a youngster I can't relate much to Kajol, so I didn't like her in that Jailhouse rock promo. But, then I thought about it again!! She is Kajol.. she is what she is and that is how she works. She is the only actress from 90s who is still rocking and giving even the newer actresses a run for their money! She is wild, energetic, expressive and awesome! And she is one of the most natural actresses of our times, everything she does is real, raw and dramatic and totally bindass. Sometimes I do dislike her, but then she always ends up winning me over as a viewer. From the promos she clearly seems like the driving force of the story and I hope she wins a filmfare for this performance.

Oh ...so popular awards decide how much an actor has achieved?? If so then even tabu NEVER won a popular award despite having over 9 critics awards and 2 national awards to her credit. Does that mean kajol achieved more than tabu just because she won popular awards?? The answer is a big fat NO. Similarly, one cant say that kajol is the better actor/ has achieved more because she won more popular awards than kareena. And since when are people taking awards seriously anyway?? Every other forum member/industry person/celebrity bashes them up saying they r biased.

Both kajol and kareena are fine actors who have this tendency to get OTT and irritating in their roles. While i think kareena has learnt the art of restraint (Jab we met could have gone horribly wrong if she played her "MPKDH" self and KI would have been even more horrible than it already was if she started doing a "khushi" in it), kajol still tends to overdo things (hint MNIK)....but i guess kareenas luckier to be in the current generation of actors because she has better roles and better directors to work with like VB, Rensil, Imtiaz, Raju Hirani etc while kajol got stuck in the Kjo, YRF rut. with a few sparks here and there in a gupt or a dushman. I like both of them, but me rooting for kareena more, only because shes more restrained now. :)
