the american way of coddling even adult kids till they can figure stuff out is silly. they make same mistakes when they sleep around with multiple bfs, changing their minds every few months. you just cant settle down to anythin then. some opportunities are also time-bound. you cant lay an egg if you're too old to hatch. lol 😆

thats called taking your own decision.. for which you have to be in state of indecision..... american kids are much smater than the other immigrant kids.. they may not get the big scores.. but they can take the big risks!!! they are not silly they are by far much more smarter!!

Umm, I'm 13 and I have my vision clear and firm. I wish to get into Psychology and become a child counselor.

According to me, the things one must keep in mind while choosing an appropriate career for himself are what fields does he excel in. Money is important but it shouldn't be the only criteria.

I suck at Science and Math but my mother expect me to opt for Science in class 11 which by no means would I be doing. It's pointless to be doing things against your own will. One must not prejudice any of the fields and consider them all as equal and worthwhile, depending on their own skills.

Choosing a career will be easy only if you have these two things clear in mind, I believe.

Good idea provided you love kids.

I think if the parents spend enough time with the kids they do not need any child psychologists.
Infact most are child abuse cases and those from broken homes.

i think that depends on the kids as well summerji. of course broken home also plays a very important role in how the kids will grow up, but there are also people from broken home families who became successful people themselves. and there are people who came from loving and caring families who end up to be unsuccessful. i read this book once where the family was loving and caring and but the elder son of the family planned the death of the whole family which ended up in killing his own mother and little brother and shooting his father and himself which led to multiple surgeries for them to survive.

Naalayak beta! Ek kaam socha aur woh bhi theek sey naheen ker paya😡
Jokes apart, I agree with you. Bad kids can turn out of fabulous lovinf families and vice versa. However, generally speaking, children from broken families or abusive families have a higher rate of developing psychological problems.
