I am a HUGE Rani Mukerji fan as my username says. She is a fantastic actress and IMO the best actress of bollywood right now. Here are my views on all her performances mentioned here:
Kuch Kuch Hota HaiFor a newcomer to match the talent of superstars like Kajol and SRK was enough a challenge but she suceeded and how! She not only matched upto them but nor in a single frame she got overshadowed by anyone of them. She maintained her stand very firmly. She gave a powerful and a very convincing performance. Not only did she looked a million bucks in the film, she touched everyone's heart out there! And proved everyone that what a bundle of talent she is.SaathiyaSuhani is probably the best character she has ever played after Black's Michelle. The way she protrayed Suhani was farr from brilliant. So damn convincing and so natural, she blew me away with her performance. And the chemistry with she and Vivek shared was beyond words <3 This is one of her most memorable characters ever. She made Suhani so believable and lovable,I don't think any other actress could have pulled it off the way Rani did.She was FABULOUS in the film.Too good for words.Chalte ChalteAnother great performance but the character wasn't that powerful. It was on the lines of Suhani but she did a commendable job in differentiating them. She made Suhani and Priya two different persons all together even though they go through the same kind of situations.Hats off to her for that, only she could have done it.Priya Mathur was lovable, bubbly, chirpy & powerful. Her role was light-hearted yet she made a tremendous impact.Lovely!YuvaShe was brilliant in this role.So powerful,so impactful,so convincing & so natural.Totally in your face performance. She was great in the role.Even though the film had 5 more celebs alongside her-she managed to outshine each one of them and walk away with all the appreciation! She was fabulous as Sashi and indeed really powerful. One of her most powerful performances ever without a doubt. She proved her versatality once again with this performance.Splendid!Hum TumWhat can I say about Rhea Prakash? It was a simple yet challenging role. The transition from a bubbly,cute,hyper-active & charming to a calm, composed, patient & depressed woman was TERRIFIC.She once again proved to everyone that why she is the Queen of Bollywood. What a scintallating performance it was! Truly admirable & charming. She made everyone out there to connect & relate to Rhea Prakash. They say "Actions speak louder than words" and Rani truly stands by that quote! Her actions, her eyes speak a THOUSAND words. The way she emoted through her expressions, through her eyes was just brilliant. She's on of those few who could make you cry just through her expressions. The one you saw on screen was RHEA PRAKASH that is how Rani differentiates between her and her characters. So beautifully!Veer ZaaraSamiya Siddiqui is one of the most powerful roles she's ever portrayed. She wasn't Zaara yet she overshadowed her and was brilliant in her role.Everyone just kept humming her praises that's how impactful she was.She proved once again that she didn't need a lead role to prove her worth, even playing a supporting character she could kick serious butt and that is exactly what she did.She portrayed the right emotions, right feelings at the right time.As usual, she was brilliant and connectable! Once again her eyes spoke a million words and she took my breath away!Bunty Aur BabliThis is probably the most entertaining character she has ever portryaed and how! She was excellent as Babli and truly lovely! She proved her versatality yet again. She proved be it serious role, challenging role, romantic role or a comedy role-she can perfect them all with utter perfection & that's what she did with Babli. So cute and so loving, she touched everyone's heart by playing Babli.Even today people remember her as Babli, that's how convincing she was.She has a great comic sense and it showed in the movie and the way she complimented Abhishek was beautiful.Their chemistry was SIZZLING <3 It must be a cute and simple role but it required an actress with excessive charm and bubbliness to play it and Rani was the same. She excelled it so brilliantly! Hats Off.Kabhi Alvida Na KehnaI know people think that this is her weakest performance but I beg to differ. In my opinion, this is one of the most strongest & powerful performance she has ever given. Her role was required to come across as complexed, confusing and a little irritating and people totally felt that about Maya Talwar & that just proves that Rani is a fabulous actress, because she could actually make people hate Maya which was the whole purpose of her character. But at the same time, many could even identify with her.It takes alot of strength and guts to do a role like this-it was indeed challenging for her & IMO she was brilliant in it.Yes,for sure she has acted better but Maya was commendable as well.Blame her character for all you want but Rani Mukerji left no stone unturned to make Maya Talwar convincing.Laaga Chunari Mein DaagAnother solid performance by Rani. Some people claim this to be her second best after Black. She was enigmatic as Vaibhavri and Natasha. The role was bold-yes but she had no hesitations and she played it so commedably well. Her expressions were so apt and touching that at points you could really feel for her and were provoked to cry with her.I know alot of my friends and family who started to love her after this movie. Many people hated it but they loved it and could actually feel for her in the movie. Her performance was spot on and damn natural. It required guts to carry it off and she did it with brilliance.Brilliant.Dil Bole HadippaAnother enigmatic performance by her.People might have felt that this role was simple and nothing great but I found it to be really tough and challenging.I mean, playing the opposite gender is no small thing. The way she transformed herself from Veera to Veer was splendid. She had the right actions, right expressions and right emotions of a guy.She made you laugh with her/him and cry with her/him.She did a splendid job and trust me its not an easy task. She was fabulous in the film and looked a million dollars & the way she complimented Shahid was beautiful <3 I loved their chemistry. She was perfect for the role & IMO no one could have done it better than her.Awesome.But My Vote goes to Saathiya because its the most natural and convincing performance of hers after Black atleast for me.GREAAAATT!!!
Thankies Natu😳Her best performance after Black has to be KANK! She was brilliant in it!
Then Hum Tum, LCMD, KKHH!
But all the performances mentioned r amazing!

And I commend your ability to analyze Rani's performances so well and your writing abilty is beyond amazing! 👏 What a post! It took my breath away for sure.
I agree with everything you said about Rani's role in Hum Tum! For me, it's her best!Originally posted by: PhoeniXof_Hades
2) Hum Tum: This movie defined Rani in my opinion. She portrayed almost every shades through her role of Rhea. Starting from the tomboyish girl to the loud, hyperactive woman who is about to get married, to a calm and silent widow, to the typical romantic heroines - she portrayed it all through this role, and that too with great perfection. I especially loved her in the second half of the movie (right from the scene where she says "Sameer is no more in my life") - a very subtle and restrained performance of a widow (compared to what she did in Babul/Babool for instance), and a contrast to her earlier self in the movie. Her performance may look ordinary from the outside, but it has depth if one watches the whole film.
