Channel SAB launches SAB Ka Mela in Ahmedabad
Anooj Kapoor, Smriti Irani and Juhi Parmar to attend the Inaugural ceremony
Ahmedabad, May 6th 2010: "SAB KA Mela" had a grand opening ceremony at the Ahmedabad Education society, Navrangpura in Ahmedabad. The first of its kind Mela by Channel SAB was inaugurated by Mr.Anooj Kapoor, Business Head, SAB TV and popular artists from SAB shows Smriti Irani and Juhi Parmar.
A colourful procession consisting of shahnayi, nasik bazza, kacchi ghodi, stilt walkers and air joggers marked the beginning of SAB KA Mela and led the guests towards the entertainment zone.The opening took place with a lamp lighting ceremony with the guests followed by classical performance by the Nritya Bharti group. The beginning of the Mela was marked with activities like a play enacted by famous group Rangla Rangli, Inter school and college competition, hasya darbar by renowned artist Bhadresh Dave, folk dance performances like garba and Tippni by Panghat group and western dance performances by the popular Aura group.
SAB KA Mela has lots in store for the entire family from May 5-May 9th, 2010.Lots of cultural and entertainment activities will keep the visitors entertained throughout the week. SAB Ka Mela has various zones like shopping, gaming, food, entertainment, social and cultural zone family and kids' zone.The five day entertainment extravaganza has a line up of interesting events per day featuring various popular artists from Ahmedabad like child artist Mit Mitwa, Dairo artists, Rangla Rangli group and Panghat group,Archan Trivedi, Chintan Thakkar, Nisha Barot, Dr Ranjit Vank, Kishor Kambli and Gopal Barot.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Anooj Kapoor, Business Head, SAB TV, said, "SAB Ka Mela is the channel's sincere effort to connect with its audience.
