Sorry but a husband and wife have to confront any problems together. Birwa's role in the muder should have been handled by both DM and Santu. Just like Santu has a duty as a mother, DM has a duty as a father. As a father DM had a right to know what his daughter did.

Also, it is Santu's misplaced sense of "duty" that has turned a sweet young girl into a psycho killer. I feel very sorry for Birwa nowadays. OMG! what a burden for a young girl to carry on her shoulders all these years! Have you ever thought what Birwa must have endured with the guilt of Arjan's death on her hands? This poor child endured all this from the time she was 12, silently. Would any mother put this kind of burden on her daughter? Santu has done this with her useless "maahaan" act to the point that Birwa has become a psycological mess.
