Chapter 3:

The feeling of warm hands around her took the fear of Ridhima's fall away. She felt safe and secure. Slowley she opened her eyes to see curious blue ones staring into her own. Those blue eyes seemed so familiar yet completely strange. She tried to balance herself up and get straight, she did not want to be here. But the more she would try the tighter his grip would get. Angrily Ridhima looked up only to be drowned away by the confusion in his eyes.

Armaan could not stop staring at her. This was not the same girl he had known years ago. As Armaan stared into her big, green innocent eyes, he felt her move. He held her tighter, he couldn't help himself.

"Woah," he thought, "Whoever thought that she couldn't get any prettier was wrong."

"Excuse me," she finally spoke in her velvety voice.

"Huh," mumbled Armaan clearly zoned out. Ridhima finally loosened herself from his grip and began to move away while Armaan was in daze. It really was her, so it was true, she was back. Armaan wasn't the only confused one, Ridhima was just as confused. Was that Armaan? He was no where near the cute boy she had known. It had just been a year but he looked manlier than ever. She gave a final glance at his toned muscles which were defined by his dress shirt and panicked, "What am I doing?!" she thought to herself, "Checking out the guy I've known since I was in diapers and I should be hating with an infatuation just because he grew hotter in the past year?" Ridhima moved back a step, avoiding Armaan's pondering gaze before she finally made her way down the hall to the conference room. She hadn't realized that she was panting because of how fast she had rid herself from Armaan's presence.

"Remember Ridhima," she though t to herself, "This business is your only priority, other then bi of course, you have to avoid all distractions and every living man that you conquer" She was humouring herself now. Why was she even going into such depth of the situation? It was simple. She had fallen and he had caught her and that was it. She took a deep breath as she opened the door and walked into the conference room, only to be met clearly by a pair of un-amused eyes, Muskaan's clearly pair of un-amused eyes.

"She's late" Muskaan thought somewhat cheerfully. Muskaan was waiting in the conference room rather patiently with the rest of the board members when she noticed by looking at the time that Ridhima was 3 minutes late. "Just let her get here, I'll definitely make her rethink this foolish decision of hers to rejoin business," Muskaan thought cruelly. The truth was that Muskaan had developed feeling's for Rahul but before she could even clarify them she found out that Rahul was leaving the Company because Ridhima was coming back to handle it. Ridhima sadly would always remain a villain in Muskaan's eyes, even though she was not one and did not deserve the hate. Through the corner of her eyes, Muskaan saw the main doors open. She smiled a wicked smile before she turned around to meet Ridhima with the most conniving glare ever that just sent off waves of hate and Muskaan's displeasure in seeing Ridhima here. But while glaring at Ridhima, Muskaan found it hard to keep giving her a dirty look even though she wanted to. It felt like she was doing everything she could do to manage to summon up such glares. She noticed that Ridhima was still standing at the main doors while all the companies' board of directors were looking at her. Muskaan attempted to take advantage of the situation and began to mock Ridhima.

"Not a bad first impression Ridhima," Muskaan began. Ridhima stood rooted at the door with a confused expression.

"Oh don't look so confused Ms. Gupta; Your exactly three minutes late!" Muskaan exclaimed & exaggerated.

Ridhima hid her urge to smile, Muskaan was trying to get her in trouble over this shi**y reason? This was bound to happen and she came prepared for it, at least she hope she did. Ridhima had attempted to speak up but Muskaan kept on interrupting and cutting her off. She sighed as Mr. Aryan, the oldest and highest member of the board of directors turned to her with an amused smile on his lips. HA! Even he knew that Muskaan was over doing it.

"So Ms. Gupta," began Mr.Aryan, "Could you please kindly tell us why you're late on your official first day of work?"

Before Ridhima could respond she heard a chocolaty voice right behind her, extremely close,

"Because of me," he spoke strongly, Ridhima watched as Muskaan's eyes widened in shock. Ridhima turned around to be face to face with Armaan Malik. "She's late because of me." He said once again and this time with much more authority in his voice. Ridhima involuntarily backed away from him until she was in the room and made her way to the head chair and sat on it. Armaan came in as the rest of the board of directors settled in and sat in front of Ridhima on the other end of the table. No matter how delicious looking he was, Ridhima could not bare the sight of him. For Armaan Malik was the one who had almost ruined her life, and he probably didn't even know about it !

OKAY GUYS ! I know this update is far too late!

No excuses, just a reason: my grades were

coming out so I had to pay extra attention in classes

and make up all missing work ( can you believe I was

missing 26% in a class ! 😆😲) I'm all caught up now

though and If you guys want and comment chapter 4

can be posted up tomorrow 😃 All you have to do is
