No, no, I hope you haven't misunderstood me.

It's crucial for women to talk to each other and share what's important, what's real, what needs to be cast aside and moved beyond etc. So the intent is absolutely not to shut anyone up or to break up a meaningful dialogue.

I was more concerned with the way in which people are baring what seem to be their innermost hopes, fears, questions, and sorrows here, in such a public way. It makes me anxious, somehow, I don't know why. I suppose at heart I'm just a very private person; I can hold forth for pages and pages on literature or history or music or religion or any number of other theoretical topics. I can write stories, quite unfazed or unembarrassed by my own literary productions. But when it comes to real life.... that's a whole different thing altogether.

Of course, it's entirely possible that all the teens have identified this thread as one that foregrounds mummy-oldie preoccupations, and have requested not to be notified when there's an update. Who knows? I'm new !

Anyway, apologies if I've given offence or sounded like I wanted to "moderate" this discussion. I don't, honestly!

The way the anniversary was celebrated , .......dancng ike that is it called anniversary is some weird concept PR people r having . Why r they showing that chawl people are only loud and rather vulgar in their behaviour ? Its a false picturisation of chawl culture . Tradtional Marathi couples living in chawls live a very sedate , simple life , and do NOT indulge in coarse and cheap roadside dancing in their private functions at all . This is BULL that they r showing . Even the more vulgar types dont celebrate this early on a younfg death in the family . The kind of dancing they showed is generally done in public functions of the chawl ....like the Chawl Ganpati , the Chawl Devi in Navratri , Annual day in December etc . Not like this . Why do they equate chawl culture with anything and everything vulgar ?

As u said Savita is constantly being pardoned for horrendous abuse for trivial things like looking after some of Archus needs for one measly hour in the night , or calling her Beti once [ immediately that ooaaaa music and a struck face of Archu is shown , lapping up that word] . Frankly , my hopes that Manav will haul Savita up for abuse r totally gone now . For he saw abuse with his own eyes in this 3 month stay and yet felt it was no big deal , so what will he do even if he finds what Savita diid earlier ? Nothing .

The excitement of the real culprit being found out is gone ........Everyone knows its Manju and Ajit and no one cares . Manav and Savita clearly say it doesnt make a difference ........so wats the point of the serial now ?

Archanas character has become pathetic and is fast losing credibility . She had VOWED never to forgive or speak to Manju again and yet when she went there on the day Manav was getting engaged and saw Manju there she welcomed her as if that conversation had never happened .Why show sensationalism if it is not going to have any story or credibility ? Archanas words , anger , principles seem to have no value any more . She has given up education , for THIS ????For pimping for her hubby ?

The some characters left with faint credibility on the show are Varsha Satish and Shravani . at least their goals r clear . Satish wants Varsha as he loves her alone , Varsha is entering matrimony as a BIG TIME Adjustment , Shravni wants baby and Manav and sensibly told Archu to back off . [ The way a real woman should .]

But even they will be butchered . Just as the butchering of Sulochna has started .........showing her welcoming Manju with such warmth after she gave clear ultimatum to her daughter archu that she will live here or Ill live . Just as the realism of cHawl culture is being butchered and sensationalism is being pandered to to gain TRPs .

I might just drop this show Doctor , that too , very soon .

The fizz has gone out of the coke. Whatever means I had thought of bringing a logical (and touching) end to this track are deteriorating.

I hate that 'oooaaa' music too when Savita does anything trivial like calling Archu beti. What do the serial makers want to show exactly? That you tolerate 3 months of abuse for this one moment of 'beti'? I can't even believe that they want to show ArMan reuniting by showing Savita and Archu bonding. Highly ridiculous! Savita needs nothing less than a jail term or abandonment by her son.

It would have been much more realistic to show that Manav breaks relations with Savita, and says that for money sake you broke my marriage, so now I'mm be your money making machine but don't expect to hear 'Aai' from my mouth. Now that would have been something which would make even the most cruel mother repent and feel sorry. We could have seen Savita trying to convince Manav and failing terribly, ArMan reuniting and she watching them helplessly, trying to get closer to Manav but he giving her a cold shoulder (like he gave Archu) and finally Archu feeling bad for her and trying to patch things up between the two of them. Now that would have been something I would have enjoyed immensely.

savita is so lucky , getting luckier by the day . She gets away with everything .Always having her way .
