Part 14Preet got up from the bed and held mehers hand.
Preet: meher chalo hum wapis chal ker sab ko surprise daitay hai (he starts to help her get off the bed but then stops her) nahi aisi halat main tumhe travel nahi kerna chahiye .tum rest karo(he makes her lay down again)aisa kerte hai hum sab ko yahan bula laitay hain!
meher: preet! abhi main travel ker sakti hun aur poori family yahan kaise aa sakti hai.didi bhi to pregnant hai.
preet(sits beside her): oh haan main to bhool hi gaya tha.laikin pehle hum doctor se permission laingay kal subah aur phir jayenge wapis.
meher(smiling): ok.preet tum na dewanay ho gayay ho!
preet(kissing her forehead): dewana to hun main tumhara!Later, Preet and Meher were sitting on the bed.Preet was sitting behind meher with meher resting on him infront of him. he wrapped his arms around meher's stomach. he placed his head on her shoulder.
Preet(kissing her cheek): tumne mujhe kitni khushiyan di hai meher! i love you so much
meher(placing her arms on top of preets arms): preet yeh khushiyan hum dono ki hai jo humne aik dusre ko di hai aur aik dusre ke saath share kari hai.
preet: yaad hai meher jab sab ko laga tha tum pregnant ho
meher(smiling): haan yaad hai
preet(laughing):main to parayshaan ho gaya tha aisa kaise ho sakta hai jab hum dono…(both of them started laughing remembering the past)Flashback:
After prem's return, there was a party at the juneja house. it was the party where maya insulted meher and preet stood up for meher, his wife as he claimed. few days after that, meher ran away to the washroom while cooking. Maa and kulraj who were in the kitchen noticed this and went after meher to check on her.
Kuldi(meher coming out of the washroom): meher kya hua tabyat to theek hai teri?
meher(looking at them): haan didi bas aise hi shayad kuch ghalat kha lia hoga to vomiting ho gayi.
maa(noticing this): meher tu beth pehle(meher sitting on the sofa with maa beside her) tujhe aur kya ho raha hai?
meher: pata nahi maa ajeeb si baychaini ho rahi hai aur sar bhari ho raha hai.chakkar aa rahay hai.
maa(smiling): aray pagli aisa to hota hai shaadi ke baad
meher(confused): matlab?
maa(hitting her head lightly): tu shayad maa bannay wali hai
kuldi(excited and happy): itni bari khushkhabri! congrats meher!
meher(shocked as she knew this was not possible. preet and her were friends but they didnt have a real relation of husband and wife): nahi maa…(cut off by maa who was too excited)
maa: main doctor ko abhi bulati hun takay yeh baat confirm ho jayay(moves towards the phone to call)They waited for the doctor to come and took meher to her room to rest forcefully. Till then all then men also came home from office. Preet entered his room and was surprised to see his maa and didi with meher on the bed. he was confused why they were here and why meher didnt come to greet him at the door just like always. meher was laying on the bed with maa and kuldi beside her which made him more confused as to why meher was laying like a patient.
preet(confused): app log yahan? sab theek hai na? meher ko kuch hua hai kya?
maa(laughing): idhar aa badmaash(he comes closer to his maa and she pulls his ear)tu baap bannay wala hai!
preet(shocked): kya?(looks at meher and she looks back at him helplessly) laikin maa aisa nahi ho sakta
maa: kyun nahi ho sakta? tujhe kuch nahi pata(cut off by bauji who entered the room)
bauji(very happy): aray yeh to bauhat bari khushkhabri hai! main dada bannay wala hun!
preet:laikin bauji…(cut off by bauji)
bauji(hits preet on his head): tu baap bannay wala hai! chal shayad tera bachpana isi tarah khatam ho.
kuldi: maine to bachay ka naam bhi soch lia.rahul!
maa: nahi nahi rahul nahi.suraj!
bauji: aray nahi.arjun acha naam hai
preet(stands up and interrupts everyone.he had been listening to all this for a long time and decided to give his opinion): aray chup!app sab log kitne ganday naam bata rahay ho!(meher looks at him in shock because they both knew there is no baby.but preet forgot about that and got too involved in the situation)aur app log larkay ke naam kyun bata rahay ho?.mujhe larki chahiye and uska naam kuch alag hona chahiye.(stops and thinks and then smiles widely) haan Gungun! perfect!(he then looks at meher who was looking at him with wide eyes.she was shocked and confused.his smile vanished and he realized what he was saying and feels embarrassed. but in his heart he was happy with even the thought of him and meher having a child.he wanted a cute daughter just like meher.well maybe not that strict.)They were interrupted by the servant who informed them the doctor arrived.
bauji: nalaik chal bahir.yeh aurton ka maamla hai aur inhe sambhaalnay de(before preet could say anything he was dragged by his bauji outside)The doctor checked meher and revealed that meher was just feeling weak thats why she felt dizzy and vomited. She advised her to eat properly and take care of herself. Maa was disheartened but she smiled at meher and told her that "woh din durr nahi jab yeh baat sach hogi and tu hamain yeh khushi sunayegi" she kissed her forehead and followed the doctor out of the room and kuldi followed her. Preet entered the room nervously.
Meher(sitting up): woh..woh maa ko ghalatfehmi ho gayi thi(even though this was a mistake, she secretly wished in her heart that they have a daughter.preet wanted a daughter just like she did.but how is it possible to have a child when he doesnt even love me she thought)
preet(loosening his tie and feeling awkward about the event that happened earlier): haan..woh maa ne bataya. (meher got up from the bed and moved towards the closet to take out preet's kurta to change.preet stopped her by holding her wrist) meher
meher(confused and shy): haan preet
preet:tum apna dehaan kyun nahi rakhti ho?
meher(trying to think of an excuse): woh..woh preet…
preet(moving closer to her): meher koi excuse nahi.tum please apna dehaan rakha karo.agar tumhe kuch ho gaya to…(preet stopped in the middle. past few days he had been feeling different about meher. she was his best friend but now there was something else.maybe he started to love her but he was scared to confess his feelings. he didnt know what meher thought and this fear stopped him from revealing his feelings to meher)
meher(looking at him surprisingly at his statement. nowadays she had been feeling different about preet. he had been her best friend but now he was becoming her husband. the way he stood up for her in the party and claimed her to be his wife in front of everyone proved that.she had started to fall in love with him but she was unsure about his feelings. he was in love with someone else before and what if he didnt love her. she didnt want to ruin their friendship so she always kept her feelings hidden from him.preet and their friendship were the most important in her life): dont worry preet main apna khayal rakhungi
preet: promise?
meher(smiling): promise!(preet smiled back)After that preet went to change and freshen up while meher got food for him. Preet fed meher and himself. From that day, he promised himself to call meher to check on her if she ate on time or not.
End of flashback
Here is another update. I hope u like it. please comment. i thought about writing about meet's past moments (which they didnt show in the show and we wanted them) so next update will have atleast one more flashback. then they will be back in india with the family. Enjoy!😊
