For having normal relationship (friendship comes much much later), Pakistan must dismantle its Jihadi infrastructure which it has been bleeding India since decades, which has lead to thousands of deaths (most recent being Mumbai attacks) since then. It must reverse its bleed India through thousands cuts policy. Lekin iss sab ke liye Pakistan will have to fundamentally alter itself, and I don't see that happening in near future. I would be extremely happy to be proven wrong.
For start Pakistan needs an continuous spell of democracy with a subservient Armed forces to civilian authority.

nothing like that happened ..just the government split into two and some indians went to stay there along with some people there😃
there are terrorist activities and the best thing is that pakistan government is trying to take action ..i read su wer abt it 😃

@blue i loved the way u said that..evn though its like a bit impossible u wud like to see that happen 👍🏼

RFAK is one of my most favourite singers. I love the late Rafi Sahab too.
I must thank Pakistan for producing such fine ghazal singers and I hope they continue to do so.
Mehdi Hassan too is incomparable in ghazals. He did sing several film songs too which are wonderful.
But when it comes to politics it is a rather touchy subject as generally most politicians are not clean. But the common people of both countries are very good, I have no doubt about that.

I agree uniting is illogical and even if we do so problems would still be there.
Yes peaceful co-existence is all we want.

I don't see both nations becoming friends as the very essence on which the nations are based is as different as chalk and cheese. No point trying to mix oil and water. It'll never happen. Unhey apney ghar mein khush rehney doh and let us focus on keeping our house in order.

Well said. 😊 I doubt friendship will come easily. Too much water under the bridge. And yeah, the two nations are built on totally different ideologies. Very hard to get over that. Someone sent me a link to a Pakistani show discussing the IPL fiasco and I was shocked to hear Sohail Tanvir dragging religion in while discussing it. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kuBlHHqfIuY) That is something so very wierd!! I cannot imagine any of our eminent sports person saying such a thing on any channel in India. It just proves how differently we think. Peace is all the aam junta of both countries want. Friendship is just a pipe dream.

Nothing is impossible in this world... Indo-Pak can be united but the politicians of both countries wont let it happen... politicians r wasting their time by argueing on silly topics not thinkin for the betterment of their countries..

we can try to co-exist peacefully.........try to be friends n hopefully continue with the friendship....but merging as one country.,................thats a big "NO"
We took different paths in 1947 ............ n we both have covered long distance in those paths.........
Also, i want some border between the lands - India n Pakistan to keep all those terrorists out........i get shivers when i think abt those terrorist suddenly become citizens of India n get the right to freely travel n settle in any place in India......
