LAK was one of the biggest htis, not flops.

I don't think there was anything special about Kirron Kher in Kurbaan. Ignoring Kalki for Dev D is much worse I feel.

Also Ayan did get a best debut director nomination right? But Rensil isn't? Well I would say Ayan deserves it over Rensil.

Thank god ayan got mentioned, but seirously geet, had they not mentioned ayan, it woudl have been far too obvious. Already as I see it, its like they grudgingly included Ayan.

yes, Ayan got a nomination. That doesnt make sense though. Cuz it seems like they excluded everything related to Dharma. but they nominated Ayan and WUS for some music category.

Saif deservse to be nominated for Veer Singh in LAK. But I personally found him stronger in Kurbaan.

Infact, they gipped Kiron Kher, Kareena, Vivek, and Rensil by boycotting kurbaan.

But it is also about competition -

Having seen Sankat City and Firaaq I would say those directors deserve to be nominated over Rensil.

I haven't seen Frozen but it got exceptionally rave reviews. So I am not surprised they got picked over Rensil. In the end I think Zoya deserves to win - because you can't tell LBC is a first film - its so nuanced, and such clever and empathetic writing.

Again with Kirron Kher - Divya Dutta (also did an accent) and was better. Shahana Goswami was good. The woman from Paa got very good reviews. And I haven't seen Raat Gayi Baat Gayi but that film is from the Mithya team and I love love love Mithya - one of the best Hindi film to have come out in ages - so I am not surprised Neha Dhupia is nominated too. Like I said its a relative thing. Kirron might seem good given Kurbaan's own lapses but there are better films and performances out there.

Yeah the whole ignore to WUS is suspicious to me and Kareena should have been nominated for Kurbaan not 3 Idiots. But apart from that I don't think Kurbaan really deserves much else. Kalki and Abhay being ignored is worse if you ask me.

Shiv Sena connection really. I think that is way too much of a stretch.

But yeah I do sense them ignoring WUS. I saw Ajab and Ranbir getting nominated for that heap of mess makes no sense.
