Jess, the problem is even if you talk in the mods section we will be clueless about it, and I hate to point this out, but some things here have been going on for a while. Today, you are here to sort this out, but sooner or later everyone disappears.

I'll agree problems should not be made public, but the problem arises when GM's don't respond to PM's, and even when they do they give second chances to certain DT members. I get it mods get second chances, but do members get second chances as well? Then, all the banned members should be brought back to this forum, because they have suddenly "improved" now. When members make mistakes, then they are given WL raise, but in the case of moderators I'm yet to see a set of rules for them. Moderators tell members "not to be rude" but I can find these same moderators posting warnings that are written out in an extremely harsh/rude tone.

As far as DT members being rude/ strict only with members who create problems I have seen that, and I get that, but it does work the other way round as well some DT members stir problems with members (annoy them), then sit back to watch the "action".

My problem is when authority is handed out to younger kids, and they are asked to moderate forums. They don't respect members, and they are extremely rude to members - these kids misuse their power. Not everyone around here is a 2 year old baby eager to stir trouble.

When people are sitting around complain, then they have a reason to complain. More than anything I feel mods need a set of rules as well, and there should be a valid criteria to determine, whether a member gets promoted or not. Who knows tomorrow any pedophile could get promoted, and the person has access to all our IP's? What is the guarantee that this person has no criminal record? To be frank it is not that difficult to join the DT team. Be active in a particular section. Be nice to the mods. Report abusive posts, and the person is well on their way to the DT team.

I just had a glance at this topic. I'd like to make one thing clear. NO ONE, not even the admin can read the PMs. I don't know why members feel their PMs are being read. PMs are very personal and no body has access to our PM boxes.

As for secret clubs, I don't think we really need secret clubs. We have PMs and messengers to talk to our friends. Why do we need secret clubs? 😕

And please stop bashing DT members. If you know that some DT members have misused their rights, then send the proofs to me in PM. I will definitely post it in mods section.

And then come along 40 different Moderators asking for proof so they could post it in the Mod section.. funny. And then you all dissapear.

Thanks, but that's not what we're looking for. We'll gather proof, for the millionth time now, and send it to someone. And then we'll wait for months.

We often hear members complaining that some DT members misuse their rights. When asked to disclose the names of such DT members, members just fail to give out the names to us and then they complain that we don't take action against such DT members. We can only take action after hearing the both sides of the story. 😊
