Not just in India, but this whole 'Wife supporting Husband through thick and thin' is prevalent all over the world! Just see what happened in the recent Jaycee Dugard case, where that sicko Garrido's wife actually helped him torture, enslave and keep captive an eleven year old child for almost two decades. Same with the Elizabeth Smart case where the wife actually performed a marriage ceremony for her husband and the fourteen year old victim.

Its very, very demoralizing when one reads about educated and independent women closing their eyes to every fault committed by their husbands!

Assuming that Shiney indeed did not rape his maid, but had consexual sex, was it necessary for Anupam Ahuja to be so enthusiastic about his release? She could have just maintained a dignified silence! Its almost like she is celebrating the fact that her wonderful husband only slept with the maid instead of forcibly assualting her!

Shiney Ahuja gets bail in rape case

There is some relief for the Gangster actor, as Bombay High Court granted bail to Shiney Ahuja today (October 1, 2009). But the bail comes with the surety of Rs. 50,000, a guarantee that he would stay out of Mumbai but at the same time, will not leave the country and would leave his passport with the investigating officer.

Shiney, who has been in custody since June 15 for allegedly raping his maidservant, had approached the session court twice before and his plea was rejected.

Reportedly, the actor will now move to Delhi to stay with his parents.

It is very natural that a wife would support her husband, especially when there is trouble. But what has disgusted me is that Anupam Ahuja, while very happily assasinating the character of her maid, is seemingly oblivious to what her husband has done.

I mean, doesn't it make her feel disgusted, humilated and shocked that her husband confessed to having sex with their maid servant. On top of that he kept denying it in the beginning and his wife kept giving statements in support of him, saying that it was actually the maid who had raped him😕

Fine, Anupam Ahuja wants to see the father of her child out of the jail and back in their family, but she can be more restrained and dignified about it....considering how shameful his act has been (and this is assuming that he has indeed not raped the maid, but had consexual sex with her) No need to give jubilious statements to the press saying how much she had prayed to God and how happy she is to have him back!

poppy2009ji I am certain that Anupam Ahuja is merely posturing. In public she is being the supportive wife. However in private I bet she is going to unleash her wrath on Shiney.

I somehow get that feeling as well. Maybe Anupam knows that he has the assets to keep her comfortable and secured in life which is why she is keeping her mouth completely zipped about the truth.
