A funny video describing a typical NRI kid..how do you relate yourself to this video or the kid, what do you think of it?

Xoxo

indeed very typical....some parents think they are living outside india to give their children a better life yet the kid is so much adopted into that place .... the original culture is all gone or just a bit remains with them....yes i relate myself much to this.....speaking indian language is easy for me as mum dad has been speaking with me since childhood.....yet learning to read and write was out of question for me exactly like the lady doing "a" "e" i would do "eh" "o" in reply lol 😆

furthermore....although many indian culture and thoughts remain with me......yet being with friends who are not from indian background.....i need to accomodate both sides lol 😆 my thinking and all is totally different from my parents.....not as reserved.....soemtimes i am not able to or frustrated following their set of rules lol 😆 i respect my culture a lot but yes as an nri kid i am a mixture of both 😉 not as naughty hehe i do drink lassi if not mango lassi huh 😆.....

Typical communication problem between the old and young.
Kid is too fast n mum is old fashioned.
Mum teaching a kid to have a Khatarnak Dream and set a goal for himself.
Kid gets it all wrong and chases after Sapna the Dream Girl from Hong Kong.
The only goal is to have a Boomboom Time and party like Bazzy Boy and NF , dancing away.
50% of the time on the Forum and the rest on other forums.

I too was taught to dream big dreams, but fortunately I met the right people to guide me. Now I am a Khatarnak Ghazal singer.

This video was hilarious! 🤣 🤣 I think that the problem with us desi kids who live outside of the desi countries is that we find it hard to fit in anywhere. We go back to the homeland, and we're characterized as being too "gora for our own good" 😆. We come here and we're the outsiders, the brown-skinned, curry smelling, cocunut-oil haired kids. Well some of us - not me. 😆 I think our biggest issue is learning to adjust between our "two lives", to be American enough to live in the US and to be desi enough that we carry out culture along with us. I personally love where I'm at in life! I wouldn't change it for the world. I'm HUGE on culture, I love every small tradition that culture has to offer. I couldn't imagine myself without pretty, colorful salwar kameez and choodiyan, and all that good desi food, along with all that comes with being desi. I shall forward you to mylifeisdesi.com for further analysis. 😆 But I also love living in the US. And I think the combination is jhakas, I wouldn't trade it for the world!

In the meantime if you have interpreted the video enjoy an entertainment video. Lord BoomBoom reminds me of this song.
