well ... first of all ... this sure is a good post ...

this was a brilliant piece of writing sarah like always, very well written, a beautiful description on the demons with whom prithvi fights every day, mind and heart both are not able to think correctly, his own being is bearing the pain of his own and his family as well, and another new way is also waving hands to come and walk on it, and its non other than the way of love, like it says life ki race mein agayee love ki crossing, so we will all have to wait and watch till pri chooses a path to cross, the revenge one or the love one, sarah your post maybe has too many aspects but when shewtha post her topic about pri and shows her dislike for pri being loosing respect in her eyes, i was just confused what to post in the answer but today this post of your's clears not only my confusion but also justify his attitude, this is my opinion.

As much as we hate it is'nt this change in Prithvi necessary??

Just want to add abt the promotion thing .I feel that chances 4 a change in his post & relationship with gujarals are definitely on .Rem Ila trusted him and had high regard 4 Prithvi even in the midst of Daminis fierce opposition. Now even Dams opinion has changed. So its going to be too easy. New post ,new responsibilities and that means greater ACCESS to everything!!!

@ The part in red; that very thought is scary. Noooooooooo!! I hope for our as well as Prtihvi's sake that it's not the case, and that the infamous Friday scene was written and directed in a hurry, and that it won't be permanent...I know, wishful thinking..Anything to keep ourselves optimistic..

If the writers have changed then it makes it easier for us, all the new writers have to do is to go back and watch earlier episodes to get a feel of what Prithvi Saxena really is or else simply refer to the posts of this forum to get his essence right.

If the writers have not changed, then i guess it was a really bad day in office for them as they completely messed him up, mercifully it will be only episode we have to deal with this issue.

Call me presumptuous here, but i genuinely feel that Sameer's "Main Aa raha hoon Avni" Scene got edited out because of the intense negative reaction it got (not for karan but for sameer's reaction to the whole thing).

Maybe you're right..I thought that scene was just to create drama and was never meant to be shown in an episode anyway..😕



I expect (rather optimistically ) by expressing our disappointment with the way Friday episode was handled in case of Prithvi, we will get the Prithvi of the old Back.😳

The Prithvi that we love is the same guy who at damini's sangeet assured himself that Damini will trust him and she will come with him and not this Mutant Prithvi who keeps thinking,"Oh wow, grab ur chance, impress her, she should be taking ur name, blah, blah........) sounding desperate.😡

Prithvi Saxena is anything but desperate.😎

He is a calm, level headed guy who will make things happen rather than waiting for things to happen, but he wont be mouthing cheesy dialogues like the above, but will trust his instincts and be self assured and coolly watch the proceedings, predicting exactly what will happen.

I expect a lot of smirks, triumphant looks and steely eyes from Prithvi Saxena and not some desperate cheesy dialogues. He wont feel the need to go out to impress the Gujarals, he will know that he just needs to be himself and the Gujarals will be automatically impressed as they were earlier.

Instead of positioning himself in front of Damini, he will know that Damini knows that when she turns he will be right behind her supporting her in his own subtle way and he will want to capitalize on that(oh dear, how sadistic does that sound)

The point is he should not be seen as trying too hard, the thing is he does not need to.

Right or Wrong things will happen the way he wants them to and yes as time passes the triumphant smirk will be replaced by more and more hurt and pain what he is causing to damini and also to the person he himself has become....😭

Finally, when u love a character or a person, as much as u understand where they are coming from, empathize with their feelings, their pain and emotions, i think somewhere u have to convey a sense of what is right or wrong since right now the person is currently too blinded by circumstances to see it.😭
Yes, we have to keep track of right and wrong, even when we don't expect a character to behave like an angel..We know characters are human like us, and we're not perfect so we can't expect them to act in a perfect way either..But yes, we 'll always feel bad for how they changed for the worse, or be angry with them for their wrongs..We'll feel our hearts breaking whenever they do something we never expected of them, and at the same time we'll understand their reasons, feel their pain, get their dilemma..

This disappointed reaction maybe is our way of saying, "Look, I understand ur pain and i feel it as much as u do, i understand ur need for a revenge that u need to do something to set the wrong right, but 2 wrongs do not make it a right".

That is beautifully written Sarah👏👏👏 You truly captured the turmoil in Prithvi and more importantly not justifying it.

What makes me look forward to the show and more in particular to Prithvi's character is that he is almost single-handedly calling the shots at this point in time... he is literally deciding the course all lives on the show will take. So yes, in more ways than one Prithvi is going to be responsible for where all lives stand in future. And with due respect to all the characters, I am glad that it is Prithvi and not anyone else. My heart really goes out to him for the turmoil he is going through, because the guy has a very strong sense of what is right and what is wrong Even though he initiated the revenge saga he knows deep down in his heart he is wrong (even the hatred for Ela Gujral isnt going to rob him of his sense of judgment) He is very aware of people's (and by that I don't mean Damini alone) emotions and values them too, which is why this is going to be so very tough for him to turn blind to all of this, yet he will. He is going against his principles, against the Woman he loves, His mom is going to be disappointed in him when she regains her health. I see only his mom being able to put an end to this saga, only she will be able to set her kids free from the constant struggle they will be going through because of the revenge. One thing I am sure of the day it dawns on Prithvi that the entire revenge saga cant be justified he will stand up and take the responsibility for the mess without trying to justifying the stand he took. Not only that he will go about the redemption process with humility and dignity and more importantly he has the strength of character to withstand the backlash that will see him through this phase successfully.

Prithvi's character has so much potential to explore the complexities of a Human being and their behavior. His character will be walking a tight rope through out and needs to be handled with al lot of sensitivity and sensibility. The only thing that worries me that when they created a beautiful character like Prithvi they might not be able to maintain consistency in his character and that will be a huge disappointment. This has happened so many times before, so many strong characters have succumbed to bad screenplay that one is bound to get skeptical about LNMDJ… but I sincerely hope that Prithvi will be an exception😊.

.You know what the whole problem in this whole thing is,if i may.Its not fridays episode where we got to see a total u turn in G.K's approach.!! Yes,some of the scenes could have done with better direction,better dialogues,etc,etc.!!.The problem started at the stable scene which aired last week.!! I did not.want to say anything then coz everyone was so happy and dancing around the forum like woohoo!! G.K wont succeed in doing this for long,he feels for her too much,he cant see her with anyone else,he cant see her unhappy,blah,blah,blah.!!!.But i was like what????.He has hardly come back from a funeral and he is getting derailed so early in his pan???.Think about it ,wasn't that odd,since he took an oath and stuff ,he is already getting swayed and now when they are showing what they should have shown from the very beginning right from the stable scene,it is affecting us.!!

My take on this is kind of similar to Shweta's..He felt something for Damini prior to his dad's death, and on seeing her after the death, with the thought of revenge on his mind, he couldn't help but get affected by her presence again, not romantically, it wasn't that.. But it was natural that he felt a twinge of pain on hearing about her engagement,because as much as he would like to deny it, there's a strong feeling for Damini buried under all his pain, resentment, anger and the revengeful madness that's haunting him..I still feel it was Friday which did the damage for us, because like Shwets said, Priths is not supposed to be desperate as they showed him on Friday, certainly not cheesy, and the bad direction and writing is the culprit..

That scene and all that followed after that till fridays episode did rise our hopes.!! What they showed on friday,should have been shown right from the time G.K resumed his duty as CSO.!!I think the creatives probably realised that it is too early for G.K to feel her pain coz at the moment he only wants to inflict pain and nothing else.!!So they made the change soon while the track is still new,and rightly so.!!I am not in favour of any of the characters changing,hell no.!! But the track demands that their characters change.!! It is just not possible for their characters to remain as they were since so much water has flown under the bridge.!!As much as i hate what they are doing,sometimes i just cant stand it., but this character change is essential,very much needed(no matter how much we despise it) or the revenge would seem like a joke.!!
Yes they are all good men and that is probably the silver lining here,but they are still human.!! They cannot always be all forgiving all encompassing angels.!!Their family is not a family anymore.!! For the brothers all the doors were shut on them and they had only one hole to escape from this tremendous grief and this was it..!!.I am not in favour of it,but im not totally against it either.!!

I totally second you, Ani..I don't mind the characters going through changes, Heck, that's what makes a good story..And like I said elsewhere, It's always more interesting to see characters with layers and issues, characters with grey shades or complexities, characters battling their own demons - it's always good drama when a goodie turns into a baddie thanks to circumstances but still remains a goodie at heart - than seeing a one-dimensional character or an angel..Humans are supposed to react strongly to things, not to be perfect, and same goes for these characters..It's just that the change needs to be treated subtly and delicately, so that we empathize with the change, they can show Priths, Sam, Var going totally cold-blooded, I wont mind, as long as they have a decent explanation for it and show them at least remaining somehow true to their nature..

Ppl who hav messed up with the 'prithvi's chracter' are teh obstretics of teh same! But the main fault lies in the transformation of the character due to circumstances! And in this situations i think most of the writers goof up with how to change the charcter keeping in mind the base of it!! You nailed it..

I m impressed tht how they dealt with sameer's and varun's transformation cuz they hav exactly gone the way their charcters wud hav gone as since teh beginning they, esp sameer was shown immature , sensitive and cunning too to sum extent. If he wants sumthing ,he gets it eitehr by hook or by crook ...varun was shown highly influenced by his brothers cuz he was still unaware of this ruse world cuz of the protection given to him by both of his brotehrs ,so its natural for him to think wat his brotehrs r doing is rite!

But writers have highly messed up wit prithvi's character. He was alwayz shown very mature to judge between rite n wrong. Very clear wat he wants to do and how he can accomplish it without huting his principles!!

I agree tht ur fathers death will make any guy off the principles. But the idea of revenge frm ila gujral by hurtingt he gals is more sameer types rather than prithvi. His charcter needed the type of revenge which had to b more powerful,clever or which wud leave more impact rather than fooling the gals. Revenge tht wud hav been more mature like framing ela for sum crime or getting to the bottom of the truth of his fathers death and proove him innocent cuz he had been labelled murderer who commited suicide which is not the case.

So prithvi's main focus shud hav been to proove his father innocent and if for tht they had to fool the gals then it was justified. Oh, yeah..I hope they'll show that he is trying to make Damini fall for him to prove his father innocent..Ok, am I still dreaming too much? Then call me a dreamer..😆

Those cheesy dialogues mentioned by shweta was not prithvi like at all !!! It did seem completly out of charcter!! Yeah, boo to those yucky lines!!😡

I juss hope before writers completly butcher prithvi's role, they get sum sense and try to work on the damage they hav already done!! Concurred!!!😊
