One thing I absolutely loved about the scene was its unpredictableness, literally I remember when I first watched the scene, I'd absolutely NO idea what was going to happen next, and I was at the edge of my seat as if this was some thriller movie 😆... And yes, I too LOVED the graph of the scene... Especially the part where they both slap each other... such sheer passion in their slaps even.. and Prem goes summat like 'Mukti you're a nice girl... I don't wanna hurt you' and he pulls away until she, touched by his words, pulls him back... I don't think its unrealistic that they slept with each other... Mukti DID love Prem after-all, and I liked that she was realistic in the sense that Mukti showed passion for Prem, you know? Coz like in all these tv-shows, the K-heroines are so world-widey and sacrificial, and whenever their husband moves in to hug them or kiss them on the cheek or w/e, they immediately back off to do some chores or summat and I find that highly unrealistic to be honest! 😕 Anyways not that I'm condoning pre-marital sex, (I don't care either way), but I like that aspect of the scene as well.. WORD! lol....I'm not condoning pre-marital sex either, but in that scene, it was believable that Mukti could actually go ahead and sleep with him....cuz Prem just literally disarmed her with that 'I dont' want to hurt you' line and then later on HE was the one who was backing off....I think that's what made her cave in as well...and like you said, she DID love him....I remember Vasu was really put off by the fact that she slept with him though cuz of the way he'd earlier talked so cheaply about Mukti to that useless random chick😆😆. MT were BRILLIANT in it as usual...THAT'S what made it SO amazing! ⭐️....Never have I again seen a scene on Indian TV like this....I feel now that only MT could have done it so naturally.

Like you did not find the layers to Ranvir's character, I did not find the layers to Yuvi's character so it did not click me as much as Ranvir did although I LOVED Yuvi-Ashi pair. For me, Yuvi was complete and strong only because of Ashi, he was more or less doomed without Ashi which was not the case with Ranvir- Tia or no Tia, Ranvir stood his ground and in alien, unfair environment- he never took help from anyone except himself, even from Ashi. He could have used Sumeet Ahuja's good will and faith in him to get his problems solved in a jiffy but he never chose that, instead he fought his problems and solved them by himself- this makes me choose Ranvir over Yuvi any day who was a wimp without Ashi.

Ok, Kavya....we'll end it at as a general difference of opinion then.....I don't personally think that Yuvi was useless and a wimp without Ashi as you seem to. Things weren't that black and white. But if you find Ranvir to be strong etc. etc. then ok😆.....Like I said before, I found all that to be posturing behavior.

@Sandy: Hi5! I followed PM story only after that leap after Mukti's rape, from the time when Prem realizes and accepts that he is in love with Mukti and proposes to her till Mukti's death. I remember how upset I was then.

@Sonia: I remember noting that topic, I thought I'd read and reply to it later on but I forgot completely.

Italics mine... That is actually a very good point! I've never thought of it in that way... Yes, Prem did back-away not for lack of feelings for her but due to his feelings about her... coz he didn't want to take advantage of her... Wow, yeah, I can now totally see how Mukti would've caved in to THAT! 😆

@Anu: For me both the characters were complex, had depth and different layers/dimensions to them but I guess the difference in perception/opinion makes me place Ranvir above Yuvi. Of course, all these people come only after Ashi for me.

LOL Kavya... so you didn't read it? Well okay that's a relief, coz I thought that you of all people would've agreed on the whole with what I'd to say... so when I didn't see you 'liking' my post, I thought that maybe you somehow disagreed with it? 😕

Exactly....LOL....HE was being a gentleman....for a CHANGE🤣....Nothing could have disarmed Mukti more than that....as it is, she was already so touched by the way he unexpectedly mentioned that bit about not wanting to hurt her....

You know all these ppl talk about being inspired from M&B novels for these stupid 'youth shows'?? lol....now THAT was a scene straight out of a romance novel....and MT executed it brilliantly. Do you remember that MB even mentioned in that TCC interview that it was his fav. scene??
