I know jai is being a bit unreasonable but even though they were childhood friends they are husband and wife and any husband would hate to find that his wife might be cheating on him. In the original plot it's even worse, the hero bets with his friend that his wife can never be lead into adultery but the friends fakes it that he was successful and then the hero orders the heroine to be killed!!!

Bani looked at the clock, it was eleven, her eyes drooped, she rested her head on the dining table where she was sitting for the past one hour… waiting, gopi masi had told her to be patient till he opens up himself, this happens sometimes, everybody needs some space…yes everybody did, but where this space come in between them, they shared everything with each other but then…marriage was a different ball game all together…but still…soon her droopy eyes closed…
The loud bang of the door startled her…Bani got up scared…seeing jai she relaxed a bit…she looked at the clock, it was one in the morning…
"Jai…itni der…" she asked getting up…jai turned around to face her…she was shocked to see his blood red eyes glaring at her… they conveyed anger, extreme anger…
"Jai…" she whispered lowly…
"How was he???" he hissed like an ugly cobra raising his hood…
Uncontrolled emotions were like an undisciplined and needlessly destructive forest fire… once caught it spread consuming every little thing turning them into grey ashes…he was like an untamed animal, barbaric and insane… …
Bani looked at him clueless…
"Jai…what...are you…talking about…"
"Did ranveer come here…?"
Bani hesitated for a second…
"YES OR NO!!!!" he shouted...bani jumped, her heart beating wildly…
"Yes…he came…" bani fumbled…jai raised his hand to stop her that was it; it was the end of everything for him…
"You slept with him…" the bluntness in his voice shook her…and the acquisition was nothing less than death for her…she stood rooted to her spot, no words came out of her mouth…her jai doubted their love, their relationship…what could she tell to remove that seed of jealousy and doubt form his mind…
"Was he good??? "jai came near her fiercely…
"Better than me…"
"Tell me DAMN IT!!! "jai held her shoulders and shook her violently…bani slapped him hard across his face…
"How dare you…"
"GET LOST BANI…why don't you just die…I HATE YOU…" jai pressed her cheeks with his hand and pushed her away…he hit the coffee table, the crystal vase toppled over and fell breaking into pieces…tears flooded in her eyes…her feet guided her towards the door…everything was finished…

The car speeded on the highway…uday was too eager to see jai and bani… this was the first that he would meet them after their marriage…he looked at the gifts he got for them…his Krishna's beautiful jewelry for bani… …
"Driver, drive fast…" he said impatiently…

She always thought this could happen only in fiction, in the serials she watched religiously, in the books she read voraciously…but never once she even imagined that her life would turn into one of these…Alas!!!Truth was stranger than fiction at times…she went wherever her shivering legs took her unaware of her surroundings…her world had started with jai, it was filled with jai and finally it had ended with jai…why was she living…??? The sky burst out into a shower of rain…the honking of the busy cars caught her attention, the recurring light from the headlights flashed on her face… the tyres screeched… she stepped ahead… …

He sat lifeless…ensconced in the leather couch…around him furniture, she had an impeccable taste of style and a natural penchant for collection...she had decorated everything with her own hands, to give him a surprise…his eyes swept across the room…bani's image floated in front of him, the very next moment she was running into ranveer's arms…his eyes blurred…he threw everything which she had placed...all their photo frames crashed the ground and shattered…
"Why did you do this DAMNIT!!!" the glass broke in his hand…blood oozed out from his palm…it wasn't painful, not at all painful than his broken heart…

Uday stood before the house, he rechecked the address…it was the same house, he saw the golden name plate Mr. Jai Walia & Mrs. Bani Walia…
He rang the bell…he waited patiently…there was no response, he pressed the bell again…he saw the door open…he pushed it…he entered the house to witness disarray…the glass pieces spread on the floor…the furniture misplaced…
"Jai…" he shouted…but got no response…he ran inside…checking every other room…
Finally he located him lying on the steps…the wooden steps were drenched with blood…
"Jai…" he whispered softly…shaking him…
"Why did you do this bani…" he heard a whimper…uday looked at his distraught son…his palm was deeply bruised, the blood had clotted turning brown…

"Drink…" uday said as he shoved the glass of chilled water towards jai…
Jai blankly starred at the glass making no move to take it, fiddling with the bandage of his dresses wound…
"Bani aisa kabhi nahin kar sakti…" uday stated firmly…
"Woh aisa kar chuki hain…" jai said in a flat tone…
"Jai…tum aisa soch bhi kaise sakte ho…"
"Sach hi hain…" he said hoarsely…
"I can't believe you jai…" uday said exasperated…jai didn't reply…
"Jab insaan kissi se bohot pyaar karta hain na…toh woh itna andha hota ahin ki kuch aur dikhta hi nahin…"
"Andha tha…dad…ab mere aankhen khul gayi hain…" jai pushed the chair backwards getting up…uday looked baffled… was he the same jai who fought against someone as powerful as Nishikant for his love…
