Hi pyar-ishk

I have no idea about the controversy regarding Prachi Desai and Kasam se.

But I don't think that any of DM's kids speak in a squeaky voice with him! That's simply not true... No way... Prerna and Shardul give RR a good fight in terms of acting... They emote very well.

Aasiya has the innocence. Yes. But the time has now come for that innocence and fear to go away... In the friday scene with Motiben, I was looking for some more defiance- in her eyes, in her voice, in her face... I could not make sense of those gestures at all. A friend who has done acting courses suggested this- 'close your eyes and listen to Rasika ji (Motiben), RR (DM) or Prerna (Kaddu). You can sense what the emotion they are trying to communicate would be'... If we try that with Aasiya, it's a bit confusing... her voice conveys one emotion, while the dialogues convey another, and her face and eyes say something entirely different. These 3 have to be in sync- voice, eyes/face and dialogue delivery...

Sorry if it sounds like I am being overly critical. Santo is just a very powerful role. I am upset with Balaji for not paying attention in the beginning itself!

Aasiya makes Prachi Desai look like an Oscar winning actress, when in fact I do not find her as good of an actor. Seriously, the innocence and all is good, but innocence alone can't make the character work. The character of Santo is gonna go through a metamorphosis where she will become a woman, she will have to fight the likes of Moti ben, who will be on her case all the time. I am gonna reiterate what I said earlier...I like Aasiya the person, but the actor needs to improve my leaps and bounds to make the character of Santo come to life. She is doing below average as far as her performances are concerned.
Every other actor on the show, just completely steals the scene away from her. And that looks very bad, considering she is the lead.

@ Sammie
Agree... Whoever acts as Santo should be able to march over other actors, and stand equal to Rasika ji and RR and Dharmesh ji (Virat)...

Let us hope they make the right decision next time around... choose carefully, keeping the story and only the story in mind. The story is the hero.. Actors should fit the part, not other way round...

Yeah I agree...
It's all about the story...the actors should bring that story alive...and whoever is the replacement, better be good.

Hi to you too tvrasika....I don't think you were being overly critical at all, you were stating your opinion and which you have every right and that's what this forum is for. To be honest with you that scene with motiben and santo I too was looking in her eyes for more. I guess you said the right word defiance. I will tried what you suggested about closing my eyes and listening to the characters to feel the emotions. But I think is unfair to compare her acting to RR or Rasika ji cause these are trained actors in a class by themselves, as for Prena (kaddu) I don't know her background if this is her first show or not so I can say. But most of the main character on this show are all experience actors and is unfair to compare her to them.

You're right Balaji should've have pay attention in the beginning itself before they hire her. Fans have invested six months on this show watching this actress if they change her without doing anything to improve her acting skills to me it would be a loss. If they decide to hire somebody else I want the person to have the acting skills but I don't want the actress to look older than the children in the face or someone who was the lead from another show. tvrasika....do you know if the production house have acting coaches on set to help actor improve their skills?

Hi pyar-ishk,
I have no idea how these television production houses work. Very sorry. I am guessing they would have tried their best with Aasiya. Replacing an actor, especially the lead, is a pain for them also, I would think... She will have to get used to others. Others have to get used to her... so I would imagine they would have done what they had to do... But who knows what goes on in TV world? I for one have no clue...

I just wish they had chosen an experienced, even if young, actress for this role. Santo is a strong character.... not like the ones you see in other serials. BT underestimated perhaps...

Bandini is an excellent serial. Hope Santu is not replaced. There should be some scenes in which Dharamraj does some introspection. He should ask himself whether he is being fair to Santu or not. After all he has married for his own convenience. But he is shown to be impartial in his judgement of people . Therefore his strong sense of justice should force him to think of his actions too.SAntu has no alternative but to act as the dutiful wife. She ignores her own existance except as in the role of a dutiful wife.

I hope that we know by tomorrow who will replace Aasiya! I am very anxious about it. Whomever they choose, I hope they make it a good one. No more changes, then the show is gone!
