Part 18

Next morning...Nani comes n talks to Kaushaliya about the same marriage proposal and ask her if she has spoken to Ragini about it or not.

Kaushaliya....hesitates to answer but still says...."nahi maa....din kaise nikal gaya kal pata hi nahi chala...ragini se akele mein baat karne ka mouqa hi nahi mila....main baat karungi jald hi.."

Nani gets mad n says...."rehne de kaushi.....tujh se ek kaam theek se nahi hua...achcha aisa karte hai ke hum un logo ko bula lete hai per aise hi dawat ka nyota dekar....aise nahi ke ladki dekhne aao....iss bahane hum Ragini aur voh ladke ko milne ka mouqa denge....ek dusre se pehchaan karne ke liye."

Mamiji gets confused n asks...."magar maa...hum dawat denge bhi toh kis cheez ke liye....Ragini poochego aur sab poochenge toh kya kahenge."

Right then Malti comes running out of the room n throws up in the sink....Nani looks at Kaushaliya....and with big eyes n a wide smile says...."yeh lo....isse achcha mouka kya hoga....bahu ki khush khabri ki dawat dedo."

Mamiji gets mad n says...."kya keh rahi ho maa...pehle pata toh chale ke bahu ne ulti kyu ki.....tum bhi na....kuch bhi bolti rehti ho."

Mamiji runs towards Malti and with very much concern asks her..."kya hua...vinu ki bahu....tumhari tabiyat theek toh hai na...ultiya kyu ho rahi hai."

Malti in very much pain...looks at her n says..."pata nahi maaji...thode din se atpata lag raha tha....ab achanak hi ultiya hone lagi aur ab toh sar bhi bhari bhari lag raha hai."

Kaushaliya....smiles n looks at her....Malti gets mad with this reaction and says...."oh ho...jhoot toh main bolti nahi magar aapko meri aisi halat pe hasna nahi chahiye...yeh sab aapko shobha nahi deta."

Kaushaliya...hugs her immediately n says...."arre pagli...yeh toh khushi ki khabar hai....tum hamein itni achchi khabar suna rahi ho aur keh rahi ho ke khush bhi na hoon."

Malti in a confused tone asks...."yeh sab kya keh rahi hai maaji aap?"

Kaushaliya calls nani and mamaji n says..."aji suniye....vinu ki bahu maa banne wali hai...aur hum dada dadi."

Mamaji n Nani gets happy n and then it strikes Malti as to what Kaushaliya was talking about...she smiles and touches everyones feet and Mamaji blesses her from the bottom of his heart and Nani hugs her.....Right then Vinu comes out to leave for work when he hears this good news and he also comes n touches everyone's feet and hugs Malti....And then he leaves for work saying he'll come early....Kaushaliya asks Malti to go to her room n rest.

After Malti leaves Nani pokes Kaushaliya with her elbow and gestures her to talk to Prakashchand....Kaushaliya...with a lot of courage says...."aji....itni achchi khabar di hai bahu ne aaj....kyu na hum issi baat per ek dawat rakhe...."

Mamaji looks up when he feels Kaushaliya was trying to say something after that but was quiet...n then Kaushaliya says...."maa bhi keh rahi thi ke voh ladke walo ko bhi agar bula le...bas yuhi...toh Ragini aur ladke ko milne ka mouqa bhi mil jaayega...ek dusre ko jaane ki koshish bhi kar lenge."

Mamaji looks a little concerned...so he says...."yeh sab toh theek hai Kaushaliyaji...per bahu ki khabar itni jaldi sabko dena kya theek hoga.."

Mamiji tries to be more convincing n says..."ab aaj nahi toh kal pata chal hi jaayega sabko...toh hum kyu na achchi tarah bataye."

Mamaji shakes his affirmingly n says..."theek hai...aapki jaisi marzi....bula lijiye unko...Ragini bhi mil legi...per Ragini ko mat bataye ke rishte ki baat chal rahi hai...abhi pehle ladke vale haan toh karde....phir hum Ragini se poochenge."

Mamiji n Nani gets happy n Mamaji gets up to leave...n then he stops n turns n says..."arre haan....iss dawat ka nyota zara Sadhna ke ghar bhi bhijwa dijiyega."

Mamiji looks a little concerned about calling Ranvir n his family here but she shrugs the thought off thinking Ragini will meet this new guy n everything will be fine.

Ragini was getting ready to go to KalaMandir....and was smiling the whole time remembering all those sweet moments she shared with Ranvir.....She took some matching bangles to wear and she remembered Ranvir's words.....

"aap ke haathon mein chudiyan bahut achchi lagti hai'.pata hai kyu??.....kyunki'.jo aap keh nahi paati'.voh aapki chudiya kehna chahti hai.'

Ragini smiled and wore bangles and put her duppatta on n came downstairs running....right then Nani says..."oh ho...beta kaha jaane ki tayyari hai??"

Ragini still smiling replies..."nani....main kala mandir jaa rahi hoon."

Then she looks at Mamiji n says...."Maa main kalamandir jaa rahi hoon....jald hi aa jaongi."

She was about to leave when Mamiji calls her n says..."suno Ragini beta...humne kal dawat rakhi hai...teri bhabhi ke maa banne ki khushi mein..."

Before Kauhsaliya cus say anything...Ragini cuts her in the middle of the sentence n says..."bhabhi maa banne wali hai aur aap mujhe aise bata rahi hai maa....kaha hai bhabhi....main abhi unse milkar aati hoon."

She was going towards Malti's room when Mamiji holds her hand n says..."nahi abhi bahu araam kar rahi hai....tum aaker mil lena....achcha suno....zara Sadhna ke ghar nyota de aao ke kal hamare paas dawat hai aur voh zaroor aaye."

The thought of going to Sadhna's house made Ragini a little afraid...coz she was hesitating to meet Ranvir...even though she thinks about him all the time...but the thought of him coming closer to her speeds her heart beat faster.

But still she shakes her head and says..."theek hai maa...keh doongi."....n leaves.

Ragini goes to Rajvansh house while returning from kalamandir in the afternoon...she comes in and asks the servant for Sadhna...he says..."bahuji toh uper hai aap baithiye main bulakar laata hoon."

Ragini was about to sit when she asks where all other are....and the servant says..."choti malkin apne kamre mein hai....badi malkin meeting mein gayi hai abhi abhi....aur Alekh babu ke alawa pure saab log office mein hi hai."

Ragini gets relieved thinking Ranvir is not home....she was in her thoughts when Sadhna comes n hugs her..."arre jiji...aap...aap aaj kaise??? ghar mein sab kaise hai??"

Ragini smiles n says..."itne sawal ek saath poochogi toh kaise jawab doongi..."

Sadhna laughs n says..."achcha sorry sorry....ab batayiye na kaise aana hua."

Ragini says...."sab log theek hai....haam magar ek khush khabri dene aayi thi...aur tum sabko invite karne bhi."

Sadhna gets excited n asks...."aare jiji....khush khabri....kaisi khush khabri...aur yeh kis dawat ka invitation hai."

Ragini also gets excited n says..."Sadhna...Malti bhabhi....maa banne wali hai....aur maa bauji ne issi khushi ko baatne ke liye ek dawat di hai...tum sabko bulaya hai."

Sadhna smiles n says..."yeh toh bahut achchi khabar hai...aur hum sab log zaroor aayenge."

Sadhna's face expression changes immediately when she thinks of Vasu....she felt she said it too soon...without asking Vasu's permission....but still she didnt wanted to show Ragini her concern.

Ragini asks...."Sadhna....Alekhji kaise hai....main unko yeh khabar sunao??"

Right then a servant calls Sadhna n while going towards the kitchen Sadhna turns n says...."jiji...Alekhji kamre mein hai...aap unse wahi mil lijiye...main abhi aa rahi hoon."

Ragini shakes her head and goes to Sadhna's room.

Ranvir walks in the house...all tired from todays work...he goes straight to his room and throws the bag and his coat on the bed and sits on his rocking chair to relax a bit....and closes his eyes.

Ragini sees Alekh standing in front of the canvas stand looking at the painting...so Ragini says..."namaste Alekhji..."

Alekh gets happy seeing Ragini in the doorway....Ragini walks in and Alekh says...."tum...achcha kiya achcha kiya...jo tum aayi....ab tum batao meri painting kaisi hai."

Ragini smiles n looks at the painting and the painting he made was of a mother holding a baby....Ragini looks at him with surprise thinking how well he draws...and she shakes her head saying its nice...and then she lets him know of the party and Alekh gets all excited....and says..."arre waah....i luv parties... tum mamaji se kehna ke main aur meri dost zaroor aayenge."

And then he looks at the door and says..."meri dost hai na...usse kuch bhi yaad nahi rehta...meri dawai ka time aa gaya...aur voh aayi nahi abhi tak...tum usko bula dogi."

Ragini was walking down the hallway to call Sadhna when she sees door to Ranvir's room was open....she walks towards the room and peeks in...she sees nobody as the rocking chair was facing against the entrance...near the bed.

Ragini walks in and looks around...she was kinda scared coz she knew she shudnt have walked into his room like this....what if someone sees her in his room.....even with all this thoughts floating in her head...she still walked in and stood in front of Ranvir's picture....she looked at it with a smile and kept looking at it....and then she saw someone's reflection in the picture frame.

Ragini's heart jumped to her throat when she turned and realized it was Ranvir sitting on the chair....She looked at him with fearful eyes...and was about to run out of the room when she noticed that he was deep asleep.....she walked towards the chair and realized that he was actually resting.

With lots of courage she moved closer slowly without making any noise to stand next to him n admired him from close....She just kept on looking at his features, his broad shoulders n his hair that were all tucked back, making him luk more like an complicated but but nice gentleman....She laughed at the thought of calling him compicated n then slowly took her hand towards his face, but pulled it back....She felt a tinge of pain in her heart when she stood so close to him n without realizing what she's doing, she bent forward n kissed him on his forehead.

Ragini...after kissing him on the forehead...moved back a lil n made sure he was still asleep....She smiled to herself n was walking towards the door when she heard his sound of getting up...Still with her back to him...Ragini froze for few seconds n she put her hand to her mouth n closed her eyes in embarrassment....She cudnt move thinking he might have been awake all this time....She started moving slowly towards the door when Ranvir called her...'Ragini!!!'.

Ragini cudnt believe her ears when she heard him call her...she was mad at herself for taking such a bold step withut thinking for a second.....She turns to luk at him n sees him staring at her with a very different luk this time....Now she was sure that he was awake....n very embarrassingly turns completely to stand facing him....But b4 he cud say anything...Sadhna and Alekh walked in....Ranvir n Ragini shared an awkward glance n turned to Sadhna and Alekh.

Ragini feels a lil relieved looking at Sadhna as she was feeling awkward standing there all alone bearing Ranvir's stares.

Ranvir, on the other hand was a lil relieved that Ragini decided to take that step to express her feelings. He cud still feel the touch of her lips, the smell of her scent n the sound of her bangles. Ranvir laughed casually thinking abt Raginiz bangles. He thinks to himself that IF it was not for Raginiz bangles then he wudnt have been awake to experience this sweet feeling that atlast Ragini decided to show. He was relieved to atlast know how Ragini felt abt him. He put his hand on his forehead where Ragini kissed him n smiled to himself, without realizing Alekh giving him strange luks.

Right then chotima also joins them n says..."tum sab yaha ho...maine suna tha ragini aayi hai...toh soncha ke main bhi mil loo."

Ragini smiles n greets her...n says...."main abhi aap hi ke paas aa rahi thi''.and then she tells her about the party and shares Malti's good news.

Alekh was still loking at Ranvir and Ranvir was still smiling....but when he notices Alekh watching him...he turned to him n asked...'kya hua bhaiyya??'

Alekh...who wanted to ask Ranvir y was he smiling says...'pehle tum batao...kya baat hai??'

Then Sadhna speaks up n says....'ab aap muskura kyu rahe the...ranvirji ?'

Ranvir smiles again but this time very openly n shakes his head n say, 'koi baat nahi, bas aise hi kuch baat yaad aa gayi thi.'

Then Ranvir, very lovingly luks at Ragini who was talking to chotima abt the party.

Ragini was very embarassed to even look at Ranvir....But everytime she got a chance...she tried to catch a glance of Ranvir.....Ragini thought to herself that she didn't wanted to b alone with Ranvir in the room after her kssing incident n thankgod that these people showed up soon.....She smiled to herself n turned to catch a glane of Ranvir with a smile on her face but was shocked to c that Ranvir was already luking at her, smiling himself....as soon as their eyes met....Ragini was blushing so much that she felt like hiding behind something just to avoid his continous stares.
