At the end of the day, it's really not her fault that she was picked as McCain's running mate. Anyone else in her shoes would have accepted the challenge as well.

As far as not many women voting for her - when did you see most women voting for another woman - that too when the other woman happens to be good looking and well settled?

Not so. Some republicans managed to win their house/ senate races in spite of the economy. 😉Yes, if you top it off with a shrill-sounding, mean-spirited, intellectually-bankrupt personality such as McCain and Palin's, then the sad economy could not have helped.😛😆

What was McCain thinking?? That all women would vote for her just cuz she's a woman??? Did he seriously think he'd win Hillary supporters by putting forth HER??!! Blows my mind till this date.....TERRIBLE decision.....dunno who she exactly managed to 'energize'.....if it was the kind of ppl shouting out crazy stuff at her rallies then Thank God they didn't count enough in number for her to win.

I also loved the Alfred E.Smith dinner....and you're right, I too wished that we could could get to see that more relaxed side of that more often.....It was especially amazing cuz right the night before it was the third debate....which had tackled pretty touchy issues like the Ayers accusations and stuff....and yet they were both so chilled out with each other at the dinner, laughing at the jokes.....dunno if it was all political...but I was glad to see it👏

You mean you dont like redneck gals with a silly wink who act like they just stepped out of hill-billy land and who look like they belong in a rodeo? Ok, just kidding.😆

Yes, they sure do but the number of blacks that turned out to vote this time around was lot more higher than what we usually see...and it was not becuase of Barrack's agenda for sure. Even with the increased welfare and free healthcare carrots dangling in front of them, the turnout was more to do with "color" than "credibility".

It definitely deals with lack of proper management...with Medicare, especially part D,where the fault lies in the government inability to negotiate prescription drug prices...its like the government had power with part D but then gave it away and did nothing...

You know the thing that bothers me about the so called proposed change by Obama on healthcare is that it doesn't really change a thing for the hardworking middle class, leave alone the rich. The plan does not deal with the healthcare lobbyists at all. It just adds another layer of governance to what was already doled out under HIPPA and provides the lazy bums another excuse to not move a muscle.

So everyone on welfare and those who can't afford healthcare are lazy bums?

Most on welfare are lazybums. Most who can't afford healthcare right now but are gainfully employed at least stand to lose those jobs as well if their employers can't afford to offer the healthcare either. So yeah, eventually free healthcare for them....along with food stamps and more burden on welfare.....is this what we really need?

Yes, Obama needs to set the tone....everyone is anticipating if President-Elect Obama will deliver or not....and I think he will!

...and I truly hope he does deliver...that is our only bet left right now😊

YOU BETCHA! *wink*🤣.....Jokes apart, I thought it was quite sad that instead of soooo many other qualified women who could've been picked for this position, he picked HER?! The ultimate joke for a woman?! The kind who makes other women cringe that she IS a woman??!! God!

That was just wonderful!!👏👏....I was really heartened to see that....America's image in the world really took a beating under the Bush years....but to see THIS kind of a response for a U.S. President....I think it's the first time in many years that we're seeing something like this.....It really is historic.....Whatever happens in the future, this MOMENT will forever remain etched in my mind. Obama is no Messiah and he never claims to be one either....it is only some of his supporters who attach that extra importance to him....he has always stated clearly the he is but a man who will make mistakes like any normal human being. I do have hopes that he will move the country in a new and better direction....however I also realize the mess that he's inheriting from Bush will take quite a while to fix....so I'm not expecting miracles nor him doing every single thing he promised on the campaign trail....but I do know that I'm glad to have him as President.

😆 "😉"😆 Ok, but seriously if she'd acted a bit coy and sweet, she'd have a lot of guys feel she was amply qualified. 😛You'd be amazed how guy perceptions can turn on a dime. This leads me to my latest theory- a gal can be bitchy all she likes, but then she better be worth it. And take it from me, she wasn't worth it (meaning when it came to Veep qualifications).😉😊
😊

Yes, also, his being no messiah and some believing he is, is fine imo. Just imagine being a messiah for real and no one believing you are😆

😆 Well, Palin did represent some parts of America....I'm definitely not part of those parts....I'm from California, so we're pretty liberal (I guess not that liberal if we passed Prop 8)....I really didn't like her folksy accent....she was also under investigation, yet McCain still picked her! Why, oh why?! I'm sorry, I don't think she represented the regular joe six-pack or the hockey mom....
😆

God no, she didn't!! She made them into jokes as well!! I am SO sick of the phrases 'joe six pack, hockey mom, JOE THE PLUMBER'....God save us!😆😆 The woman was a caricature thru and thru! Did you read the Newsweek article about her??? Apparently she didn't know Africa was a continent and spent MUCH more than the $150,000 first reported on her clothes....oh yeah, she SO represents the 'average' American😆😆
I'm from Virginia which I am oh so glad to see go blue/for Obama this year👏👏....despite the fact that I'm not from 'real Virginia' as was the term given by the McCain campaign to Northern Virginia😆😆
