There are people who make themselves conspicuous by their presence and there are gifted people who make themselves more conspicuous by their absence. Bollywood€™s latest marvel girl, Deepika Padukone, is one in the latter category.

Her absence from IPL matches was the subject of online gossip as she had been so prominent Down Under when the Indians were playing early this year. Having gone to Australia for a fashion shoot, the pretty damsel was seen in the company of Yuvraj Singh. Latest gossip has it that boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor is not a great cricket fan and that is why Deepika, the daughter of All-England badminton title winner Prakash Padukone and his model wife, was not present at any of the cricket. Bollywood was very well represented at the IPL with the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Juhi Chawla, all from the franchise owner€™s category and many other stars, Katrina Kaif included, gracing the matches. It appears cricket is off Deepika€™s radar now that she has been adjudged the best newcomer at the glamorous IIFA awards in Bangkok. This is at least one case of cricketentainment moving over fully to entertainment.
