Movies are purely meant for entertainment purposes.

You cannot call a section of the audience dumb because of the kind of movies they like. Maybe all they want is to forget their daily miseries and live in a larger-than-life world for 2-3 hrs.

Every kind of cinema has its niche audience. Like the Malayalam industry movies which focuses on realistic characters, grounded story-telling would not work in BW because the Hindi‑movie audience doesn't generally respond well to these kinda movies. And it's ok.

In my opinion, both Dhurandhar and Toxic can exist at the same time because they both cater to people who want different things. But to label a certain section as dumb is totally uncalled for.

he doesn't mean intelligent and dumb audience. he was saying a commercial movie made with rational story telling, story and scenes made with utmost care and a commercial movie made with over the top, keep your brain at home making. its a clash of the titans, considering the market value of the team involved. ranveer and dhar at their peak since its a sequel and yash since kgf and kgf2 catering to his kgf audience which is huge.

cinema in one word is a vibe. it could be anything. a ddlj, lagaan, gadar, talwar, chak de, animal, dhurandhar or bahubali...has to vibe with the audience.
