Just google why he was named meghnad/ meghnaad or मेघनाद (roar of clouds) instead of meghnath (lord of clouds).

Aa (meghnaad) would have been the correct form of writing the word मेघनाद in English but it's very common to see people write a single a instead of double aa in many english words when transliterating hindi to english.

Don't stress too much. English is anyways a funny language. There's so much confusion with pronounciation regarding certain letters or silent letters etc. Ex. C in catch is pronounced diffrent than C in certain.
