Maybe because it's based on a book the story line, the script, the characters and their characterization were all good.

In and as Amar Vishwas. He was very good, especially in the final faceoff with Akbar Baig.

Every actor did his/her part well. Akbar Baig matched his intensity/performance in the final scene.
