Unfortunate that geopolitical terrorist organizations have grossly misused this word in spreading terror. This word or Islam has no relation with terror or terrorism.

That meaning needs to be taught to those who are spreading the terror...Not to the ones who are facing the terror....the victims...It's nice making speeches about it from the comfort of a PR arranged platform addressing the audience who had nothing to do with any of it....

In exactly the same vein, hate should be directed to the persons committing the terror, not towards those who had nothing to do with it.

He is neither telling this to victims nor the monsters..monsters if capable of learning anything than violence would not have become the monsters they did..he is expressing his thought on a platform about a word which is literally being used to abuse people of a certain religion..

Muslims do believe steadfastly that terrorism is jihad and jihad is terrorism as is quite evident from the invention of their faith and all their actions proving it again and again . So perhaps he should sing to the choir.
