"healthy box office run" seems to be a quite strange praise given a budget of 90 cr ... and we will see about the "strong WOM"...

Saw the movie without going to the theatre (if you know what I mean). First half was complete cringefest. Dunno how they expected to make Kartik's character so bloodcurdlingly annoying and have the audience like him as a romantic hero as well. The love story just comes out of nowhere. They are at each other's throats, then they end up having sex god knows how, then fall in love the very next day. The trajectory is not well developed at all. 2nd half is better, they are some genuinely funny moments. They should have just skipped the Mujhse Dosti Karoge style Antakshari to classic Bollywood songs, just gave fodder to the meme pages.

Kartik is same old Sonu ki Titu character. Ananya is bearable. These bolly movies have started taking influencers as sister/friends of main leads to attract audiences, it's laughable. This time it's Chandni (mimicry artist). Half the time it looks like she's mimicking Alia in the scenes.

Few things I liked
1. Kartik and Jaggu dada scenes (best chemistry between these 2)

2. Neena Gupta (she's too good)

Overall not worth going to the theatre for, wait for OTT, forward the songs, and it will be timepass at least.

To me, the greatest concern is that Dharma would not try to give Kartik roles that showcase his genuine talent/fortes... Ananya certainly is not really untalented (she already proved that).

Nice to know about the Kartik-Jackie part being worth a watch
