Shalini was a side character. Aishwarya is the primary antagonist and Sharain’s character id also getting the desired effect.

Keeping Shalini and losing out on Aishwarya and Malla is pure harakiri. Simple math. Unless Shalini decides to seduce Vikrant, she has no major role.
